Struggling to get enough gold for all the awesome armor and weapons in Dragon's Dogma 2? Need to get some back up copies of important items? This exploit allows you to duplicate stacks of items to sell or kit out your team with. Once set up it is quick and easy! Get in early before it is patched!

Patch 1.050 has been released and it seems it may have fixed this. I will leave this up in hopes of someone finding a new method and info is shared here.
In the mean time, the cloud data method still works.
So it still kinda works, but you would have to set a new pawn quest every time. Its just way slower now.
you can still dupe things easily but it involves having PS+ and cloud saves. Send stuff to someone you want to dupe and rest, they rest, you download your backup cloud save, now you both have your items

If other people set up quests like this, feel free to share the pawn id. Alot quicker to do it with more than one or two pawns before switching back to the donor account to set the quest up again. Just a thought ;) And thank you for sharing this idea, and your pawn id.
Where do you get the rest of that ninja gear? The guy I went to only has the mask.
Got it working the first time then it says "Completed" (using your pawn btw).. I can't give anymore.. did not left the rift and followed the instruction religiously. :(
it worked when I gave 12 onyx to my new game, but when I tried doing it again on my main it didn't work and said that the Quest was COMPLETED HELP PLS

What I noticed is that most items allowed as quest reward MUST be at or under 10k gold. I wasn't able to find anything yet (including armor/weapons) which I could sell for more than 10k to a vendor and thus giving you more than 10k/arrow.
Any tips for what can be bought in Battahl/Verwund, etc that can be sold back for > 10k. I can't find the ore Lemon shows in this video...
I tried duping Dragon's Gaze, which works perfectly, however you can set a max of 2 as quest reward, so once again falling below the 10k limit.
That makes sense. Jasper or Tigers Eye are the other gems. Even if you only have one, use the method to dupe 12 then repeat.

Ill have to try this out but i do have a question do the golden beetles work for this because that's all i would really want to duplicate?
I couldn't get them to show up as a reward but I am not sure if it will be the same for everyone.
Tried the same. You can ask for the item but I never received it. Same with Seeker token
Ha! Last night when I finally decided to get down to duping some Onyx, I realized they must've patched onyx specifically because my pawn stops appearing for my other character as soon as the count of Onyx reward exceeds 4 which would mean > 10k gold. As soon as I set 12 or 10 or 8, the pawn from my other account does not appear in the list, if I set >= 4, the pawn appears.
Not that i'm complaining, this is still a great way to get some gold/items you would otherwise have to spend tons of hours harvesting.
so if we use ur pawn we can only get to 99 onyx cause after we leave the rift to sell it means u have to re issue the quest. damn lol

Thanks mate! Glitch always struck me as a bug or something that makes the game worse, rather than enhancing your experience.

Have you tried to sleep at an inn, equip an expensive armor on the friends pawn, quit the game, let your friend take the armor, and then you load in at last slept in and do it again? Wondering if it'll work
Gifting items to other pawns wont work unless you sleep in an inn AFTER. which means it would hard save.

I must be doing something wrong because when I summon the pawn a second time, the only options on the screen are: Talk, Dismiss, Add to favorites, and Never mind.
I do the set up exactly as you show so I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

They patched this. You'll have to go and make a new pawn quest everytime now

Make sure you sleep at an inn after doing the quest, otherwise it wont update.
How do I remove the travel together for a day and night prompt
Someone needs to hire your pawn, spend at least a whole day/ night with them, then rest at the inn.

Add my low level pawn if you just want a quick 20,000gold! Use input: U96ES5JYYJRP
1. Get two accounts. Either set up for free on console or get a friend to help
2. One account should be the Main/ Donor with desired items to be duped. Other should be the reciever. "Reciever" should be at a point in the story they can use rift stone and buy cheap consumables. Both should be console "Friends"
3. Other account can be almost brand new, just need to be able to vendor and use rift stone.
4. On main account take 1 consumable/ easy to get item as a "give" item (fruit roborant explosive arrow etc.) and an item/ stack of items you wish to dupe.(onyx in this case but can be armor or some weapons)
5. Sleep at an Inn to create HARD SAVE on main account (Do not use inn until you are finished exploit)
6. Go to Rift summon stone and Set Pawn Quest. Put the "give" item at the top (1 of) and the "recieve/ dupe" item at the bottom.
7. Swap accounts or exit game via system menu.
8. on other account go to rift stone with at least one of the "give" items
9. search for pawn and summon friends pawn via friends menu.
10. Add the pawn to party and talk to them again while still in the rift. DO NOT LEAVE
11. Talk to pawn again and GIVE the item. You will recieve the item reward.
12. Dismiss the pawn and Resummon. ONLY using the same menu commands and not leaving the rift.
13. Repeat!
14. If you don't want the main account to actually lose any items "LOAD FROM LAST INN REST" this will go back to the point before you put the "recieve" items up
and you won't lose them!
15. Repeat the whole process again with different items or more of the same.
IMPORTANT! If you break the loop/ cycle you can repeat it but you will need your main pawn to re add the quest. Leaving the rift will not allow you to "give" again.

The item do not transfer for me even trying to complete the wakestone quest isn't working even if i completed it its not unlocking
For steam players im testing this out rn with the steam family mode, in which you can have multiple profiles and save files like in playstation, ill update if it works or if it doesnt

@@LemonEatingKow Yup it does work, you just need two steam accounts, and family mode activated on both of them, send friend request from the main to the new one, and from there you can follow the video easily, just when in the video switches ps5 profiles, in steam you turn off the game, log off the account, log in to the other one and hit play there, other than that the method is the exact same as the video :)

You can also exploit the inn save to send all manner of things as gifts when dismissing pawns. But I haven't had any stick yet, you must have to sleep again at an inn for it to work

Works for my wife when she's getting the onyx on her end, but when I hire her pawn and try it it only works once, can't figure out why

That’s 10,000 gold instead of 24,000 gold from selling 12 onyx. I wouldn’t call that better.
@@shaifs5072actually it might be just because you don't have to leave the rift to sell and switch back to the other account to set it up again.
@@shaifs5072 but you can also take 99 arrows in and do that 99 times.
@@LemonEatingKow sure , yeah. But keep in mind 99 trades of arrows is 990,000 gold while 8 trades for Onyx is 230,000 gold. Onyx requires more loading but is way more gold a second.
For some reason, my pawn quest is grayed out
Someone has to complete the first one before you can change it. Try resting at an inn, someone probably completed it.

yes you can but you have to go to checkpoint rest town and pay the forger guy there to copy them for 60.000 gold each

After the Patch u can only do 12 Onyx and u have do rest at the Inns on You're Second Account fist and only then u can do it again[ if u are an ps5 and have the disc version just don't Install Patch]

More that they could restrict your pawn from the rift/ network. But yeah, i agree!
Considering this is the most obvious reason why they never implement multiple save files to this series! You'd have the online removed or the inability to have your pawn hired. You'd also likely only be able to hire offline pawns.

Not vis this method. You can by using using your cloud data to restore a save after sending everything off.
Where did you farm the onyx?
I just had a few in my storage. I started with only 3 and did this til I had more and repeated.

Yeah I think you csn offer 99 at a time for a reward. Although you would have to sell each time.

You can give pawns a gift when dismissing them. But if order for it to actually send, you need to rest at an inn after sending it and it can take a few hours

Very interesting, I would try this if I was on console but for PC users at this point just use cheat engine or mods since this is very time consuming. Also useful for challenge runs where you don't cheat, but would like to perform this exploit anyways since its built into the game. Very cool!
I had this thought in mind too, actually. It may sound odd, but for me, exploiting a game without using "cheats" just seems more..... legit. Hahha although really it is still cheating.

yes, i just checked, you are not allowed to give him the object again once you dismiss the pawn.
@@pablocanamaque9 damn, so instead of keep giving them gift over and over to keep getting the reward over and over, have you tried doing it one at a time. like after you dismiss the pawn the first time, go back over to your other profile reset the quest and reward and try it again? that method might be slower but if there's a way.

You're talking about a game that has micro-transactions for basic game materials. And you said it best. It's single player. Therefore, it doesn't affect you AT ALL.
