  • Here's a little Sunday late night synth jam! Enrica and I are mostly back to developing new prototype synthesizer hardware, but wanted to give KiCAD a rest - so here's last night's spontaneous tune using the Arturia #MicroFreak combined with some eurorack modular.
It's a lovely digital synth based on one of our favourite modules, the Mutable Instruments Plaits macro oscillator, adding polyphony and an analogue SEM filter. We used the Keystep Pro to sequence the bass notes via MIDI and the Buchla style touch keys to play the melody on top, adding a little oomph with the Random Source Serge Wavemultiplier. The beat is driven by VPME.de Euclidean Circles, triggering #ADDAC T-Networks percussion voice and #Bastl Instruments Teakick - both DIY kits from Thonk.
The squawky processing on top is #Endorphin.es lovely Milkyway and the 4ms Dual Looping Delay. The module with the beautiful blinkenlights is a TINRS This is Not Rocket Science DIY RectangularThing with Oliwer White panel - an awesome synth voice on it's own, more on that soon!

Hah yeah that's probably the (not-so) subtle drive of the Wave Multiplier going into the 4ms Dual Looping Delay, delivering a hot blanket of crispy chip goodness. I see you have a RYK M185 video, interesting module - going to check that out!
