The best Märzen period. Ayinger is top tier beer.
It's good, for sure, but I'll take Paulaner's over Ayinger.

San Antonio here, first time I ever heard the name and saw a bottle of this deliciousness was Oktoberfest goers walking down the street to the fair grounds drinking the 16oz bottles of these. Drinking beer, on the way to drink beer, gotta love the Germans. Delicious, but expensive. Prost!

Drinking one now in Lake Charles, LA. Love Marzens! Tried the Hacker-Pschorr last year which I thought was nice but think prefer the Ayinger.

Personally, this is my favorite beer. Just hits all the right notes for me. Its like a light bread with honey drizzled over it. Got a store in town that has a decent selection of imports, and out of all ive tried, this is my favorite. Definitely beats out every single American beer ive ever had in terms of taste. It is a bit pricey, but for me personally, its worth it.

This beer spoiled me years ago with their Oktoberfest marzen! Nothing tastes quite as good especially compared to US local versions. I do love Paulaner and Weinstephaner also. The maltiness reminds me of southern buttermilk biscuits. I need a decal! Never used one, but yeah bugs ruin outdoor drinking.

I do enjoy that beer but you are right, it’s too expensive compared to other German Oktoberfest beers that are just as good or better. Spaten Oktoberfest is usually my favorite of the Munich beers.

I agree with you.I dont want a balanced beer if its an octoberfest beer.I like a malt forward beer with not so much hops.I know its subjective but too much of the hops for me in all the Ipa beer today.Everything seems to be a hop explosion .Nice video
Thanks for the review of this fine Bavarian lager. First off your glass is filthy. See all the bubble clinging to the bottom and side? Beer foam and lacing won't stick around long. And what's with the chugging; so American? That fine beer should be enjoyed. But, to each his own. Love your hat!

If you were fortunate enough to live in Bettendorf Iowa you could be drinking paulinaner's munchner lager that is on sale for $15 a 12 pack of half liter lined cans. Sublime!

Store near me does sell the 4-pack (11.2 oz bottles) for $13.99. However, they also sell the 500ml single bottles for $3.99.
$14 for 4 x 330 or 500ml? Either way, for that quality of beer, it’s a bargain. What are you comparing it against?
