Disclaimer, DO NOT mount oil filled ignition coils like the one I just installed horizontally like I did! It will ruin the ignition coil and it will ruin it fast, the fluid inside the coil is used to cool the coil internal components. All of these types of coils are only filled about 3/4 of the way and have an air pocket filling the remainder and mounting it sideways causes a portion of the coil internals to sit above the fluid level and overheat. I learned this the hard way and had to replace the coil about a month later, please learn from my mistake! Some fluid filled coils like my old Blaster 2 don't seem to be affected by being mounted sideways as mine had been for years but the Accel coil definitely didn't like it lol. I am now running an MSD High Vibration coil which can be mounted in any orientation and its been doing great!

      185f is NOT HIGH
Your engine is happy at 195f
As high as 215f is normal.

@@fastinradfordable I’m aware that it can run happily above 185. This truck has a 160 thermostat so I knew it wasn’t overheating yet but it was running hotter than usual so I knew I had a problem when it was getting that high cruising at highway speed

you need to add some foil backed butyl sound deadener on that floor in a 80mill thickness or thicker you wont regret it it'll cut out road noise but especially the heat coming up thru the floor i covered my whole floor with it then a layer of closed cell foam and a layer of mlv mat before the carpet and i dont hear or feel any heat even on hot summer days in Arizona i also did my roof with just the foil backed butyl deadener to and it strenthed the whole roof under headliner and makes the biggest difference & only costed me like $35.. i use hikari led headligts as for the rest dont use the cheap you know wher ones use a good brand led and you'll never have issues

thats exactly what those reminded me of cuz i still have one of those big ol 6volt flashlights that i inherited with some of my grandpas tools when he passed..lol.. thats why i went with the MSD coil cuz it looks alot like the factory coil just fancier..lol

I use the factory looking dodge MSD coil vs the blaster 2 it worked the best and plugs right into factory plug & mounts wher factory coil did.. thank you for making the videos on the most overlooked truck.. did you know the dakota was the 1st truck to come with a factory rack and pinion setup which is now the standard for all brands of trucks

Do you still use the stock ecu to control anything at all on the truck anymore??

No the stock ecu isn’t in the truck at all anymore

I wouldn't be mounting a mechanical oil pressure gauge inside your truck. It will spray hot oil inside your truck. Are you still on Instagram?
