IT’S FINALLY HERE!
After weeks of prepping (and hours worth of failed uploads), experimenting with my programs, drawing designs, coming up with concept art, writing and revising the script, I can finally share this MAP with you. I’ll start assigning parts in 48 hours (although in rare cases I might accept someone beforehand) so you have plenty of time to read through the included documents before asking for a part.
Also, yes, Somebody to Love is STILL happening. I’m too stubborn to let that go. But I figured a two-week MAP wouldn’t hurt in the meantime :) I’ve learned some things through trial and error with Somebody to Love when it comes to hosting MAPs and hope to implement those when hosting this one.
I held a poll on whether or not people were interested in an experimental stylized PMV MAP, and an overwhelming majority said they’d like the challenge, so here we are. I think it’s important for us to step out of our comfort zone and experiment with the tools at our disposal. I learned a LOT about my digital programs when planning this MAP since I had no prior knowledge of how to accomplish half of what I wanted to do. Now I know a whole lot more about Photoshop, Toon Boom Studio, and iMovie, and I’ve been using those programs for years. A lot of it was just me fiddling around if I’m being honest, but it was lots of fun to see the different ways in which I could accomplish the image I had in my mind. So whether you’re seasoned in [enter editing software here] or want to learn new skills, I invite you to join this MAP and create something awesome.
I heard this song and two things came to my mind: “wow this fits Ivypool perfectly” and “the beat of the song gives me scrapbooking vibes” and thus this concept was born. It’s a two week long MAP with an optional five day extension, but I like to think I’m pretty nice and if life gets in the way I’m willing to extend it beyond that. I’m in college, I understand the struggle. That said, anything too drastic (like an additional month extension) will result in me kindly asking for you to step down so that a backup can take over.
This MAP requires some level of editing proficiency, whether that be video editing or image editing, but I was sure to add instructions in the style guide in case any beginner-editors wish to join. So don’t be afraid to ask for a part, even if you’re new to editing!
There are three documents you need to read before asking for a part and three corresponding code phrases that must be included in your comment.

*The style guide may look heavy and involved but actually a lot of things are only suggestions or tips. In addition to that I spent some time trying to explain what each thing meant as clearly as possible to avoid confusion that I’ve previously felt on such guides that don’t clarify what the host is looking for.
I’m also hosting a thumbnail contest that is open until the MAP is complete (and maybe a bit longer if I don’t get enough entries). Please upload entries to this Google OneDrive: drive.google.c.... In it you will find a rule sheet. Please read that before entering.
I’ve already created my part in order to determine the average time span this would take someone (and extended it a bit due to potential circumstances that may get in the participants’ way) and ensure that I could accomplish the image in my head. Sorry for the re-upload. The original that I posted this morning was super low quality (like 240p low) because I’ve been having uploading issues and made the mistake of trying to upload from my phone. Several frustrating hours later and I’ve managed to finally upload this. I still had to lower the quality a bunch (luckily not as low as before) to get it to even upload. If anyone has any suggestions or work-arounds I’d highly appreciate it. That said the MAP is F I N N A L L Y out and I can rest. I'd like to be a backup. I feel my strength as an artist is composition, while my weakness is in backgrounds. I plan to use Photoshop.

I plan on using IbisPaint to draw the frames and put it into flipaclip for audio and to animate it. I should be able to do the alternating overlay effect for Ivypool and the background. Could I please have part 8? I want to experiment with tweeting mainly when joining the map! No watermark!

#1-one is my strength is probably being able to tween pretty well considering I use my phone to draw and edit.

Backup please! My main strength is coloring, my weakness is that I don't quite know frame by frame animation yet! Having the patience and line consistency is a struggle sdgmlsdgdsg I love the aesthetic of this map!! I've been wanting to do a paper doll-looking sort of animation for a good while now and this is the perfect opportunity to practice that kind of style! I'll use Clip Studio and After Effects!
Could I get a spot in backup? I feel like I’m pretty good at puppet animations and making still frames move somewhat realistic-like, but I could definitely improve on my storyboarding and my planning of my animations and pmvs.
Oh! I love this concept, and Monster is my favourite song. I would like part 30, 7, 17, or 5, and if not any of those I'm okay with being a Backup. I need to improve on my backgrounds, but my strength is expressions and character designs. I will use Adobe Animate 2020 mainly and use Photoshop or FireAlpaca for the backgrounds.

I’ve currently improving on my timing and lip sync and I use FlipaClip for animating, after effects and premier for editing! This is so cool!! Could I get a backup spot? A strength would be not being afraid to try new things with art styles (that’s why I’m excited for this map) and a weakness would be improving in general. Sometimes I’m not happy with my style or something and have trouble changing it. I will use kinemaster premium, PicsArt, and I ibisPaintX (maybe more if I realize I need to) I would also like part 30💙

I feel like I am strong in art itself, not as much full animations. But I am confident in tweening and editing. I also have issues with consistency in style and tend to have long art blocks.
I would use Photoshop and possibly Paint Tool SAI for drawing. For editing I would mainly use Sony Vegas Pro 13 with a possibility of touch ups in After Effects.

I'd love to have part 7, 14, 16, or 17. I'd be using photoshop and premeire. Character expression is a strength of mine, and a weakness of mine is drawing water. I also love the dark forest pallete, and just the overall idea for this, It's so creative!

Could I maybe get part 12, 15, 17, or 30? I’d do it with a combination of procreate and after effects, and I think the thing I need to work on the most is dynamic poses, but I’m pretty good at expressions
oh! can I have any part, if that does not bother you? I use Wondershare Filmora for editing and I have medium experience. I also reccomend not checking the animation examples on my channel because they're really old (from August-September eww). now I'm better, I swear. I can provide an example of a wip i have since there's no finished animation to post yet ^^'

Strength: My best strength is the twining (sorry for bad grammar) and facial expression, and background I can't show them real but the coloring, shading is what I'm good at!
Oo, 9, 11, or 20? I think I’ve improved a lot with my previous parts, with that being said I’m strong in the amount of counter each part, but I probably need to work on perspective ^^

I've been experimenting a lot w stylization of different characters lately and while its not really a strength, i like the improvement i made there!
Still trying to improve the variety and creativeness tho!
Aaaand just as a theoretical question, i've never done that before but i feel it'd be interesting to try, would traditional art be allowed? It feels like thats.... the easiest way to replicate the scrapbook-paper-feeling! :0 And I'd love to experiment a little. (Knowing myself I'd probably give up early on and just go back to using SAI and Sony Movie Studio fyi) but i figured id ask ^^

Hi could I have part 22, 23, 16 or Part 30? I’m quite good at Expressing emotions on characters and shading but I really want to get better at my editing skills with camera angles and typography. I will be using clip studio paint and shotcut for the part. I also like to be back up if that’s alright.

this map has such a great concept, i can see how much work you've put into it!! i looked through the whole style guide doc and i think I can do most to all of the encouraged styles--i use medibang (which is similar to photoshop) and sony vegas ^^
a strength for me is showing a character's emotion and something i could improve on is cell shading, i rely too much on brushes XD
