    This is a silly vlog style video with me rumbling about being authentic and making videos about yourself and your art. How to be authentic? What does it really mean to be yourself? I don`t know. Just wanted to get some thoughts out there.

    It's complicated & for many artists is the comfort lost when a camera film the complete process of the artwork.
    Other artists have no problems with filming the process of there artwork creating it's depends.

      @@christians_kunst_ecke of course. Though I wasn't really talking about the comfort, I was more talking about how the pure act of creating an observer affects one and the difficulty of navigating that

    This is so relatable!!! Things actually change when they are being observed 😅 urgh I admire you so much for setting up the camera and feeling all the discomfort.

      Hahaha yeah definitely. Though I think I feel more discomfort putting my thoughts out there, as I struggle to figure out whether they carry much value for others or am I just creating more noise in this internet world

      @@PolinaGazeeva I enjoy your thoughts as much as I enjoy watching a painting that resonates with me. It is inspired and so it inspires. So I'd say as long as the process has value to you and brings you joy, that is what is transmits :-)

    Our art is our soul speaking. when u saying everything is a mess, it doesnt mean that you are with some "problem". it means that your soul is searching for some reward. that can be a feeling or an achievement. artists tend to be disorganized, chaotic. it is perfectly normal. you are doing great. don´t overthing. let it be.

    • @PolinaGazeeva
      @PolinaGazeeva  2 месяца назад

      Of course, but when suddenly your private mess becomes public, you cant help but think about that :D

    I think anything we do in front of others will always inevitably have a tinge of artificiality. But the way that artificial influences oneself and the things we do is in itself also natural in a way.

    I totally agree with what you said, and it’s something I’ve been contemplating for a long time: How can I find a balance between sharing my creations/recording my life as an artist and maintaining authenticity? (Perhaps there’s no such thing as balance, haha) thank you for making and sharing this video❤

      @@dreamalittle233 I think also, the more you do it, the more you will naturally figure it out. And I suppose the question is, how much authenticity is actually needed and why do we feel we have to be 100% authentic. Is it even possible? Even people who surround you irl affect how you act and what you do and what you say, so are you less authentic around them? Sometimes, I suppose (I am)

    Have not seen any new work for awhile. I suspect this next piece will be great after some time off. There is no way that I could do video while I paint. I can't take any attention from my painting. I would be a total mess.
