This recession might not see big job cuts as per some economists. This is because corporate profits have been very high so they have cash reserves to ride out a recession without needing to lay off employees. The interesting thing is there is talk of recession everywhere but I still see busy shopping malls, an inflow of tourists, and packed hotels and restaurants!
Let's hope so .. rest nobody can predict what will be actual impact
There are people who don't save who will struggle but those who saved (or the many who inherited wealth) will continue with overseas holidays and regular restaurant visits.

Brother I just came here. My salary is 37k per annum. I got a house in Ashford for £1200/month exc all the bills, grocery and council tax. I have 3 kids and a wife. My kids are 14,11 and 10 yrs old respectively. I’ll be callin them here next month. Please guide me what should I do. I’m really worried if I’d be able to save something for my mom back home or not. Is 37K after tax? If it is before tax, I hate to say but 37k is not much for a family with 3 kids. If you live frugally, you might just make the ends meet.

When you get the essential residence visa and work permit welcome to the UK. In reality I doubt either of us will live that long. You have a better chance if you speak Albanian, have no papers and arrive in a small boat.
