This is one of my favorite songs that Michael has written and performs since he does love to poke fun at himself and the lyrics and beat are really great and so true. He did have a ball recording this and loved dressing up and playing the different roles! He's really a ham and this is a great song to dance and sing along with him when he performs,too. I just wrote my heart out saying great things about MB's Hollywood song and the Today Show and when I hit the Send button, again, you wouldn't post it! I love this song, so again, what gives?

Then their production team think the song would sound better if the key of the song is higher. Whatever it is, the song was difficult for baritones. Even in any perfomances of this song he transposed the song by 2 keys down. He even skipped the "ohhh Hollywood is dead" in the end of the original song
The singers are very close together, his microphone was probably adjusted not to catch anything other than his voice and he's used to sing in large concert venues where microphone sensibility can be adjusted way higher, if they did that here it would have resulted in feedback and other noises.
