We rang radio & TV personality Duane Inglin of Fish Hunt Northwest and asked him what his favorite method was to cure these eggs with sulfite cures is. Find out exactly what he does - and how you can too - in this episode of Pautzke Outdoors.

Hi Duane,
Wondering what kind of drying time do you do?

More is more as always with this egg game, lol..

Paper towels over puppy pads. I let them air dry, egg side down for 6 to 12 hours, depending on how wet they are, out of the freezer. Then I also store them in the fridge, in containers stacked on paper towels...

You said the difference between fire and borax cures was the fire was for curing egg to fish for salmon. What’s the borax cure used for???
BorX O Fire is a borax based cure, generally better for steelhead. Fire Cure is a sulfite based cure, normally better for salmon.
