I miss travelling up the coast due to the lockdown yeah I have family at wyong area so I normally go up on my day off but miss it watching this video helped thank you I just subscribed
imo i love the flat wheels, they sound like a steam train chuffing haha
The V sets are, of course, old but are still very comfortable. The suspension is good and the seats themselves are great. A real plus is that they can easily be reversed so that passengers can sit facing the direction in which they're travelling. And no need to play kneesies with other passengers. As I understand it, the D class has half the passengers travelling backwards, an unwanted reversion to the unpopular Tangara seating arrangement.
Same I will miss those lovely v sets I heard that NIF D sets will replace them
yeah the grain waves!
I am from Woy woy and when I go on a train to central It fells like your in that tunnel forever I have Hera
D it is the longest rail tunnel in nsw and it is 2.6 kilometres long
I just love V sets! Especially the chopper ones! I don’t want them to go. :( They’re just perfect for an intercity train and are in perfect condition. Also the chopper motor whistle always gets me.
I have no idea why people like camshaft v sets! Camshafts are noisy and have massive kicks when the accelerate. On a chopper the whistle sounds so nice and I love the acceleration sound on chopper motirs
