Thank you for another great review. I have been buying the 1080 model for a few years now and have really enjoyed them. Since you asked what I think I would like say to say I think you're one of the best sneaker reviewers on RUclips. Hope you have a great day.
v13 was too soft for me. Tried the v14 and was pleasantly surprised that they firmed it up just a touch. Feels a bit more planted and stable now to me. Been enjoying my easy miles in it, although I do still think the upper is warm. Should be good for winter!
Good to see your review. I love the 1080v13 but I find them a little too soft. I also have and love the 880v14 and was hoping for something between the two. There are definitely improvements in the v14 (they do feel slightly more stable), but even though I got a half size larger in the wide fitting, I find them to be a narrower fit than the v13 and they’re causing some pain in the side of my foot. So I’m sticking with the 1080v13 and the 880v14 for a while longer.
I tried to swap the insole of 1080 v13 with 880 v14 it works wonders for both. 1080 gets a tad firmer while 880 v14 gets a tad softer. What i used mostly rn is 880v14 with 1080 v13 insole.
Thanks for the review what do you think of the toe box don't know if i missed that part is it roomy or snug and how would you think the 14 is compared to the v11 thanksvand hi sweet ruby
I just tried these and they’re horrendous. Way, way too soft for running. My feet hurt because the load was going into delicate parts of my feet not used to taking load. I went through dozens of pairs of V10 and V11, but that was a totally different shoe, a responsive all rounder. The v14 (and v13, so I’m told) is now a super high cushioned shoe, like the Brooks Glycerin. Like running on pillows.
The only downside of the nb 1080 shoes are their outsole.... Barely can survive more than 100km. poor quality. Extremely slippery even when running on the normal dry road. 😢
v13 has ridiculous amount of 1 star reviews from sizing issues, due to being too narrow, to durability and ridiculously soft foam with zero energy return. Kofuzi said luckily v14 foam is a bit firmer and a nicer to run in with more pep. I am very wary now of NB, soles wear fast, toe box get's holes, and prices are just too high given Fresh Foam X is now a meh foam in light of the competition offering PEBA blends or super-critical foams at same price that are was more bouncy. I would get Balos for sure over 1080 now, but that is also stupid expensive.
I had the NB 1080 V13 and for some reason the wide version wasn’t wide enough for me. Anything more than four miles gave me blisters on the side of my toe and the bunion bone (though I have no bunion 🫤) only use them for work now and doubt I’ll give the 14s a go.
I had the v13's in wide, and agreed they were still a tad narrow. I now have the v14 in wide and I will say it is a much better fit. I feel I could have maybe gone standard width.

I like Balos more, but there’s just me.
Glad that the v14 is a great shoe. I am leaning towards the Adidas sl evo...next year
I liked that the heel seemed to be a more locked down on the v14 in comparison to the v13. Great review!
Loved the tune on the run footage. Great video as always
Thank you!
This shoe is perfect for recovery runs.
V13 is fabulous, bought another discounted pair at the running store I work at occasionally.
Always love your reviews.
Excellent analysis!! .. AND YES!!!, THE RUBSTER at the end!!

Agree with you
Just bought v13 on sale!!!!
Definitely an option for my new daily next year, also quite curious tk see where saucony go with the Ride on next iteration .

Pretty average toe box!
@RunLikeHeller ok thanks may have to check out a wide im nor normally a wide depends on the cut
Thank you for a great review. Are the NB 1080V 14 tru to sizes.
👏🏼
Outsole looks a lot like the Balos. Interested in a comparo of those two...
I don’t run a lot of miles, so I’m more interested in the Balos even though it’s pricier and less durable. More bounce suits me.
1st time buying this shoes NB 1080 V14 it really good give me a new experience cant express how happy i am since my feet got big toe cause of gout 😂
The 1080 is a great shoe but it's just too soft for me now. The v10 was perfect and every year, they moved further and further from that model
Skyflow vs 1080??
Ooo that’s a good idea for a comparison
How would you compare this 1080v14 with the Clifton 9?
They’re pretty similar but I’d say 1080 is softer

V14 does look much better aesthetically than V13. Colourway helps.

it looks slightly less feminine than 13 but eh why waste money on NB its such a mid brand

FYI they make 1080 in X-wide (4E) as well on top of wide/2E
