You totally turned me into a Katie Cotugno fan. I picked up my first book by her (which was actually Fireworks) because of you and now she's become my auto-buy author 😊
There's so much excitement around Geekerella, that now I'm really looking forward to reading it. All the buzz around it kind of remind me of when Fangirl was released :) The UK edition of Strange the Dreamer is gorgeous; I want it!
I've been doing really good with book buying mostly because I am trying to buy books I will read soon and thinking of moving all my books soon is a scary thought... I really like some of Sarah Dessen's books but there were also some I felt meh about. I didn't like The Sun is Also a Star as much as I hoped I would. Hoping I will like her other one better. You should totally put the coins and jewels around Smaug. That would make a cute picture. Great haul!
I adore Geekerella so very much! It was so wonderful and so adorable and I loved it. It’s 2018 and I still have to read Strange the Dreamer. Meep. Wish me luck with that!
I think I'm the odd one out because I'm not the biggest Sarah Dessen fan. I love Someone Like You which actually was the first book I ever read by her. it was the only reason why I read as many of her books as I did but I found I didn't enjoy any of them as much as Someone like You. none of them were rememberable. hopefully you'll have better luck! 😊 love your book hauls! and love your bookshelves 😍😍😍
I need to read Geekerella! It sounds so good and I've heard a lot of good things too! I just read Cinder & Ella, it was SO GOOD! It's another Cinderella retelling. I would recommend it! Also, another good pirate read that I recently read was Blue Tide by Jenna Lynne Duncan! It was super good! :)
A You've Got Mail retelling???? What!? I LOVE that film. Need to get Alex, Approximately. Geekarella is on my radar too :) Hope Literally is better than the things you've heard! Loved Stranger than Fiction. What a film!!! I just got Strange the Dreamer from a publisher! So excited and you're right, the UK design is STUNNING! I just finished Big Little Lies and IT'S AMAZING!!!!!
OMG you do! Alex, Approximately was such a great read! And so is Geekerella! Definitely two of my favorites of the year so far! And yay!!! I keep hearing the best things about Big Little Lies!
I saw the Utena, anime back in the 90s, but never read the manga; I definitely want to pick up the re-release! Also, Literally, sounds really interesting:)
So excited for Utena - why does it always take so long to ship to Canada?!! Viz makes such pretty hard covers!! XD Also, what podcast were you listening too -- I've been looking for some good manga-related podcasts and not having a lot of luck. Would love some recommendations!! :D
I also still need to read Sarah Dessen(: Her books all seem like such good cute contemporary reads and I think they could really help me to get better into the genre.
I think the book you got from Sherrilyn Kenyon is part of a huuuuuge series. Maybe you should check out if you can actually read it as a stand alone or if you'll be super confused. I know because I want to start that series.
From what I understand, this new series is a prequel series so it should be okay to start there! I hadn't heard of it before but as soon as I realized there are pirates, I was in!
The Bronze Horseman supposedly contains abusive relationship that is portrayed in a romantic way, and I heard that the book is all kinds of wrong. I haven't read it myself though, and would love to hear your opinion on it.
That Summer is my least favorite. Someone Like You was actually my first Dessen book, I believe I was 14 or 15. Her books definitely get better as they go, but Someone Like You is still really great! The movie they made with Mandy Moore was based on That Summer and Someone Like You. Dreamland is great, but I remember it being a rough read. What Happened to Goodbye is okay, but definitely not one of her best. I think I'm gonna order the UK edition of Strange the Dreamer. It's so gorgeous!!!! I'm curious to see what you think of The Bronze Horseman. Sam from Thoughts on Tomes HATED it, and I usually jive with her tastes, so I'm curious to see what someone else thinks. OMG YOU LIKE FRUITS BASKET!
OH that totally makes sense! I was trying to figure out what How to Deal is based on since Dessen doesn't have a book with that title! Thanks for clearing that up for me :-) And YES! I love Fruits Basket!!! And Sam and I also usually have similar taste so I'm curious too! I'm hoping I'll love it like all these bookstagrammers seem to!
How to Deal, that's the title! I totally spaced on what it was called haha! Fruits Basket is one of my favorite anime/mangas. I'm trying to finish my Bleach and Naruto collection before I start getting any other manga's but those are such gorgeous covers!!!
I totally get it, they are pretty intimidating. But they're both done now, so there's that! Bleach has been my favorite manga/anime for years, and Naruto is a pretty close second haha.
The anime is one of my all time favorites too! I haven't read the manga yet, but I do own the box set and I want to binge read it all as soon as I finish a couple of other series I'm in the middle of!
Have you ever played a Monkey Island game? this song sums up why it's a great pirate game: ruclips.net/video/1-9my0tsutw/видео.html (not enough pirate stories have you travelling with barbershop quartets lol)
i cannot wait to read Geekerella! i adore books that revolve around fandoms!!!
Queens of Geek was fantastic!
Geekerella sounds like it'll be a really cute read! I really want to read Queens of Geek! I've heard really good things!
Soo many amazing books! I also love the colour-coordinated bookshelves.

Hello! I just love your enthusiasm and your book shelves are gorgeous!
The Bronze Horseman is my favourite book ever! Sherrilyn Kenyon wrote The Dark Hunter series which was really good, so looking forward to her new one
I've been doing really good with book buying mostly because I am trying to buy books I will read soon and thinking of moving all my books soon is a scary thought...

It’s 2018 and I still have to read Strange the Dreamer. Meep. Wish me luck with that!
I also have The Bronze Horseman on my shelf! I really need to get around to reading it!
It's so long! But I really want to read it too!
It definitely seems daunting!!
Super Space Chick let me know if you'd want to get a buddy read/read along going :) id be totally down
Bronze Horseman is so so so good. The length of it is so worth it. I kind of want to reread it, maybe after the impending book hangover from ACOWAR.
I am currently reading The Sun Is Also A Star and it's so good!
Thank you! I hope I have better luck too. I'm predicting that anything else I read will HAVE to be better than That Summer lol!
If you haven't read This Lullaby yet, it's one of my Dessen favorites! Great read!!😊😊😊
I haven't! I've only heard good things about that one!
I just finished The Bronze Horseman and 5 stars!!! Really recommend it!

you said lots of gems lots of coins twice! hahah!
Heard bad reviews on The Bronze Horseman...Please let us know what your thoughts are when you do read it.

I've heard the Utena anime is like an amazing fever dream!
Yes, definitely; Madoka Magica, is reminiscent in some ways:)
What reality show were you on ?
Fangasm on the Syfy network.
I've heard such amazing things about Queen of Geeks!
So have I! I'm eager to start that one!
So excited for Utena - why does it always take so long to ship to Canada?!! Viz makes such pretty hard covers!! XD
Also, what podcast were you listening too -- I've been looking for some good manga-related podcasts and not having a lot of luck. Would love some recommendations!! :D
Dang! England is so lucky! Strange the Dreamer looks SO GORGEOUS! Did it cost much more to ship it to America?
Right?! UK almost always gets better covers than the US. And nope! Shipping is free if you order from Book Depository!
That is SO COOL! I also really love Englands covers for Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn Series! I'll definitely need to ship all those in from them(:
I also still need to read Sarah Dessen(: Her books all seem like such good cute contemporary reads and I think they could really help me to get better into the genre.

IF YOU WANNA READ SARAH DESSEN READ ALONG FOR THE RIDE. ITS MY FAVORITE
Leah Payne Omg yasss. That book is my favorite.
The Bronze Horseman supposedly contains abusive relationship that is portrayed in a romantic way, and I heard that the book is all kinds of wrong. I haven't read it myself though, and would love to hear your opinion on it.
love your viedos so much
Great haul:-)
Thanks!

Oh my gosh! Bleach and Naruto are both such long running series. I'm too intimidated to start either of them!
I totally get it, they are pretty intimidating. But they're both done now, so there's that! Bleach has been my favorite manga/anime for years, and Naruto is a pretty close second haha.
How many books per month do you read?! I read 1...if I'm lucky! Lmao!! I'm living vicariously through you.
Haha thanks! I commute to and from work for 4 hours a day so I end up with a TON of reading time! I usually average 10-13 books per month!
Wow!!!!!!!!
Have you read the ouran high school host club mangas the anime is one of my all time favorite animes!
The anime is one of my all time favorites too! I haven't read the manga yet, but I do own the box set and I want to binge read it all as soon as I finish a couple of other series I'm in the middle of!
Super Space Chick it's amazing! I really want to read the mange series so bad!!
Read Fairy Tail!!!!
Should I read it or watch it though?!
Super Space Chick I would suggest reading it because the anime stopped and it is not known when it will come back. I would read and watch it though.
Super Space Chick If you don't want that, watch the anime to where they stopped and then continue on with the manga.
To me, it seems like the UK book covers are always prettier... I know there's a saying about not judging a book by its cover but...
Haha sameeeee
Have you ever played a Monkey Island game? this song sums up why it's a great pirate game:

Sarah Dessen's first few books are the worst so please keep going like you plan to!
