Great wisdom shared here! Sacrifice originally means putting down what no longer works in order to stay close to what is sacred (never changes but we do). Surrender is cooperating with truth - to see things as they are (buddhist insight). Faith outwardly as any act of ultimate concern; Saddha (buddhist) inwardly resting the heart on what is true.
Highly recommend reading his books and going to see him in person. He is very dynamic speaker and engaging in a retreat setting. And the Book of Awakening is timeless and I reread sections of it almost every year.
This is such a profound interview. Mark Nepo’s “The Book of Awakening” has been a great companion since the past 5 years, sometimes miraculously answering my questions. Thanks Mark for being and thanks Tyler Waye for living❤
Who sacrificed and what did they sacrifice during the pandemic you speak of? I want to hear these courageous stories you have to tell. Please don’t throw it all away over this childish comment.

There is s depth in this interview that is next level. I would love to see Mark on more podcasts and larger platforms.
Cheers 💜

Thank you, Mark Nepo! Teaching through stories and through parables felt so powerful in this interview. What were your takeaways from Mark?
22:35 “working with what I’m given” bs “working for what I want”
