  • We need to halt deforestation immediately.
Community-centered REDD+ projects provide the economic incentives necessary to preserve threatened forests, as shown by the projects Everland represents.
Everland has collaborated with Julia Butterfly Hill on a PSA, featuring her recitation of the poem, "Where have all the humans gone?".
As part of this campaign, we urge you to ACT NOW by supporting those dedicated to protecting our forests. Visit everland.earth... to find out more.
REDD+ stands for Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation. REDD+ is a climate change mitigation solution developed by Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). REDD+ goes beyond simply deforestation and forest degradation and includes the role of conservation, sustainable management of forests and enhancement of forest carbon stocks.
The science behind REDD+ is solid. It’s essential for companies to continue investing in REDD+ projects, as it stands out as one of the quickest, most effective, and cost-efficient ways to address both the biodiversity and climate crises.
As governments convene for COP 28, global unity is essential to prevent deforestation and achieve the 1.5-degree target set by the Paris Agreement.
To achieve this, more community-centered REDD+ projects are needed, and we must support those actively contributing to forest conservation. We urge you to ACT NOW by supporting those dedicated to protecting our forests.
    About Julia Butterfly Hill:
Julia Butterfly Hill is a prominent American activationist and author who played a pivotal role in the late 1990s environmental movement. Stepping away from a successful business career, she gained worldwide recognition for her tree-sit protest in California’s ancient redwood forests. From December 1997 to December 1999, Julia lived on top of an ancient redwood tree named Luna, from where she addressed both the United Nations and the US Congress. Her courageous action serves as a powerful statement against the unsustainable practices that threaten invaluable forest ecosystems.

I've lived most of my life with quite severe anxiety and I think the fact that this kind of a thing even _needs_ to be debated is at the core of that anxiety.
I don't understand how something so obvious can just be ignored and sidelined because of... what .... profit?
It creates such a huge disconnect in me from those kind of people that I don't even understand what or how those kind of people think and that turns into the anxiety, when I feel I can't trust people at all to be reasonable... which in turn = social anxiety = loneliness.

You are not alone and you are strong and very important for our survival and our success as humane beings who are in alignment with peace and truth in a world where we are witnessing the desecration of our planet.
We will learn from this situation and we will help provide a better solution for the environment to thrive and flourish and to finally make the changes that are beneficial for our survival and our success as a result of common sense and nurturing with respect for the Earth and the elements of our planet.
Buckminster Fuller is a great resource for our well-being.
Bruce De Palma created a device that is a spinning gyroscope surrounded by a circular magnet that can supply us with electricity. Safe, quiet, nonpolluting and clean energy that is free and perpetual motion for the best version of the need for power and stopping the fossil fuel system and fracking with the gas industry and the rape of our trees and the nuclear power supply that is always a threat for the environment and all that exists.
Enough of the past hatreds and injustices that are constantly threatening our world. Greed and aggressive behaviors are not acceptable
We all deserve love and peace with understanding and the clarity of our responsibilities as citizens of this world with peacefulness and joyous celebration of being alive and focusing on the best way to heal and be present with kindness and creativity that is centered in simplicity and observing the essence of life with a strong desire for life to thrive and grow with exuberance and abundance in this world ❤

I'm right there with you. I hold a dual-perspective at all times: (1) This horror is unfathomable and we must do what we can to stop it and this cannot be overstated. (2) To also take very real hope in the might of all life forms.
This sixth mass extinction is an onslaught, majority human-caused, but we are not the end-all-be-all. Life, in all of its manifestations is always striving, innovating, adapting to continue on, and we must do our absolute best to support it to do so. I also try to slough the shame of being a human. Because we're so inherently anthropocentric, I think it's easy to view ourselves as the "best" or "worst." We absolutely need to hold ourselves accountable, but I feel like so much media crushes the executive function of so many wonderful people by endlessly exposing us to the onslaught of our effects on the planet. This information is crucial, but I think it's important as individuals to preserve our emotional energy for making positive changes.
My anxiety drives me to go out to my local park and remove invasive ivy from native douglas fir and western red cedar trees. It's a small move, but I've started to see the effects over time - still small, but empowering. I can't save polar bears, but maybe I can prevent or at least continue to delay a handful of trees' suffocation.
Wooo, I don't know if any of that makes sense. I'm clearly struggling too. Just please know you're not alone in your anxiety. Thank you for existing and for traversing the very tumultuous emotion of anxiety, the result of having a very alive sensory system and empathetic heart in a time unlike any other. I hope you know how precious you are and that the world is better for your presence. Take supreme care of you.

We all are a work in progress.
The ability to live with love and kindness with creative passion is a very important part of our journey together
I agree with you about this situation of our lives in this matter of evolutionary reimagination of our lives in alignment with peace and nurturing. The craziness is overwhelming and we are bombarded by the circumstances that are distractions and heavy weights on our own individual hearts and our success as humane beings who are in this fear-based world. Greed and aggressive behaviors from arrogance and a lack of integrity are the most obvious human dynamics in our world right now.
We are witnessing the desecration of our planet and our freedoms.
The ability to live with a healthy perspective and a smile is always a blessing and a gift for the best outcome of our responsibilities as change makers and evolving supporters of peacefulness and care for ourselves, others and the environment.

The dismissal of positives is so difficult to rework; I struggle with that every day. I'm truly sending you lots of love today. Thank you for sharing your experience. every sheet of paper or card in the recycling is were it start and as near as anyone gets to do any work to help, unfortunetly that little done is thwarted by that recycling many times just being put in landfill. there are solutions but companies are apposed to product that is not to a specification of which recycling never is, as its not uniformed. If luna was chopped down tomorrow it would not matter as the mark done by Julie has settled in our minds.
