The part of Kim Minji even more attractive than her visuals are how her mind works (you can't edit her out! and also just smash it) and the way she takes care of her group.
I mean, Sua is on a different level because she is actually first and foremost a dancer - but Jiu's possibly one of the best dancers around and definitely the best in dc. If you watch enough of their videos (I've seen many) you quickly realize that she picks up on choreo faster than almost all other members (except, Sua) and is overall a very good performer cause dance isn't just about what your body does it's about attitude, swag and acting. She's literally too perfect
Jiu picks up on choreo well but she has the performing part of dancing down to a science. Her gazes into the camera, her facial expressions and gestures. She definitely should go into acting. Unlike a lot of lead dancers, who focus too much on dancing and are great dancers but dull performers, think sehun of exo and Junho of 2pm both great Dancers Great rapper and singer but dull performers( however Junho did improve as he went on especially in my house and in the recent ADTOY stage, he must've spiced up his moves because in 2013 he wasn't really fluid). JiU is definitely a great performer and has been throughout her time in dreamcatcher.
I don't feel like any of DC's member is underrated or under-appreciated. By non-fans? Sure, I mean the world is still sleeping on these girls, Korea is still sleeping on them. But among imsonias and admirers. They're a very well-balanced group and even tho their vocal line is pretty great, I'd say "dancing" is their reference as a group-skill, yes, SuA will always out dance everyone, that's why she's main dancer, but if you look at every single member individually, they're all above average dancers, all of them, I'd pick Siyeon (my bias, btw) as the worst dancer of the group (technically speaking) and she's the one being praised left and right as a charismatic performer, same with Dami. So I'm not surprised to see JiU is a really good dancer, she's also a really good vocalist, her voice is sweet, but versatile and her tone is quite unique.
I kind of get you. It's funny you say korea sleep on them, non-fans sleep on them as group, I'll get to that... but alot of K-Insomnia are Jiu fans, they LOVE her, even non fans are attracted to JiU, mainly because she is the member that matches korean beauty the most. If there are any members that are slept on by the fanbase even, it's probably Dami or Handong. They get less screen time in the MVs and stages compared to the other members. Dami for me is a great Dancer but dull performer or was a dull performer and I say that as a Yubinist. I've seen her dance great, she has potential and you can see she really loves the feel of the rythem but she was a dull performer especially early on but has Improved, you can definitely feel her love for music that has developed from Boca to right now. but Siyeon... you are right but she is the main vocalist for a reason.

Handong got a boost in popularity after that reality show she took part in China, if there was ever a dull performer in DC it used to be her. Dami was always regarded as the "cool" member. The image fits her. I think she get lesa screentime (does she really?) because she's the rapper and in most songs all of her lines are delivered in a single instance around 20 secs while the other members will sing 5 secs at the beginning, 5 in the middle, 10 by the ending... Not sure if you're getting it, but basically there's this dynamic in screentime between the vocalists that make it looks like Dami has less screentime. Also, because she's not visual or center, the producers won't randomly fix the camera on her. But she's quite charismatic. Random reacters on YT will go crazy over her rap. 🤣
