What we have to say about this successful title is that Micheal Bolton wrote it together with Doug James in 1982. It was sung at the time by Laura Branigan.
It wasn't until 1989 that Michael Bolton released it on his own album.
The song became a global hit and was the cornerstone of Michael Bolton's career as a singer and performer, who until then was known as a songwriter.
For me it has always been a strong ballad and another one of my favorite songs.
