What a shame Tammy, I love this doll too :( To me it looks like the matte topcoat they've used on her has lifted up off the face slightly, that's why it looks bubbled, and is focussed on the edges of the faceplate. Her tan colouring is all the way through and wouldn't be changed by sanding. You could maybe put her beautiful hair onto another girl the same colour, or possibly swap out just her face plate? Then at some point later you could try sanding this faceplate (with a dust mask of course) and re-customising her? If you only sanded the top portion, I would recommend using a tiny bit of vaseline to help wipe/clean away the sanding dust, as the darker skinned dolls can look quite chalky after sanding. Then once washed off, she'd be ready to re-seal. Hope you manage to get her sorted out! Love the clothes you chose for her! Suri's bag is adorbs, and those shoes! Both those hats were super cute, who's the pink felt one from please?
I might take her apart at some point. Thank you for explaining that to me. I did not realize how the color does go through like that. The pink hat, if I'm remembering correctly, I think came from deargirlface aka Jessica Scarlett.
She looks lovely at the end with that beanie/beret on. My suggestion of what to do about the discolouration is that maybe you could just purchase a new faceplate for her? I have no idea how easy or difficult that is. My other suggestion would be, can you somehow colour match and paint the discoloured part to match the rest of her face?
She's cute even with the little bit of discoloring! You could but down that upper area and blush on the tan skin tone, but I probably wouldn't do that and just leave her as is. That way you can add cute hats, scarves and headbands 🙂 I also love that little dress and fabric you made for her!
Love her and love her new outfit - that beret is so cute and the dress is adorable - she really is a pretty Mori doll. And I really appreciate you Tammy - and all that you contribute to the doll community. I've learned a lot from the videos you make for your channel. :D
Aw that’s too bad Tammy. She looks great with the headband. Maybe when you make clothes for her you can give her matching head bands. Or wait for another sale on Ali and get another matte faced doll and swap out the face plate. You can always save the body or sell it. The dress is super cute with the petticoats 😍 Thanks for your video❤
She is cute. How about having little curls or baby hairs painted over the faded spot in dark blue tones? A whole box of undies, perfect! I need this. I am crocheting mine in size 30 some without a pattern. I love longer skirts too at least past the knee. I love her outfit.
I live in Florida, as well. I don’t leave the plastic on and my dolls are always in a climate controlled room, out of sunlight. My tan matte Blythe from AE has done that as well. I won’t get the matte dolls anymore and will just use MSC if I’d like them to be matte in the future.
That is helpful to know. She was put away in a bin, out of sun light and in the AC, so yes, I think it's just something that can happen over time. I'm really not against the shiny faces. I like them both.
you could spray her with mr superclear and then try to match her skin color with pastels and reseal. or you could try to get another doll or faceplate and swap
Both good ideas. I might keep an eye out for a faceplate. It's just she has unusual coloring on her lips and eye shadow, but she is worth trying to fix at some point.
Hi Tammy. I just want to say I really enjoy your content and I’m glad you do more than just unboxing of stuff. It’s all about the dolls and the community so thank you for sticking it out with us. I’m really sad to see another fakie Blythe that has a poorly matted face. These dolls from AliExpress as you know are inferior quality and the discoloration that you are seeing is a result of a bad product being used to matte the face. I tried to warn everyone not to buy these dolls because of this. Please note that the product that they use is very toxic. Use extreme caution if you decide to sand her, be sure to wear a mask and do it in a well ventilated area. Also, FYI, her color goes all the way through the plastic. Sanding her down will not remove her tan coloring. It will look a bit white when you sand but when you wash her, her tan color should come through again. If you are successful at removing the discoloration, then go ahead and seal her properly with MSC. 😢 Best of luck with your girl, she is sweet regardless. 💚
Thank you so much for that information. It answered a lot of questions I had. Seriously, at this point, I'm just going to put a hat or headband on her. I don't have time or the energy to fix something like this. Your comments mean a lot to me. I do try to create value on this channel with my limited skills and knowledge.
It happened to mine too. Not from the factory clear plastic headpiece, but from me using water to wet hair for combing, cleaning away eyelid painting mistakes etc. These dolls didn't get Mr Clear UV spray matte I think.
I have a similar problem with my Ali Express tan doll My doll has some faint spots on the side of her cheek. They aren't too noticeable but they are there if you get up close. Have no idea what could have caused the discoloration Like you, I love her skin tone with her blond hair and no way am I going to attempt to fix them. They don't bother me that much. 😊
Yep, happened to mine too. So I replaced her face plate with another one, and it happened AGAIN. 🙄 I still love me the nonstock dolls, but I'll be avoiding the matte in this color from now on. I haven't had any issues with the matte faces of the pale/natural dolls.
I have the same doll but with dark hair and the same thing is happening on the back plate. She is my favoirte so I hope it doesn't spread! No advice just agreeing. Your dolly is still so pretty though!
I love the little box of undies😂
Ha ha, I have various boxes of doll clothes.

@@TammyPowley Thanks so much Tammy, ooh she makes lovely stuff!
What a pretty doll and what a shame that happened but she looks cute with the lace headband or the hat. Thanks for the information.
You are so welcome

There might be a way to color over it.
I gasped when I saw her forehead, oh my, but she still is a beauty and I love her old and new outfit.
That was my reaction too!

Thank you, I enjoy designing for them. Yes, I think I'm going to do as you say. Leave her be and hide it.
I like your dolls!
Thank you for the comment.
I didn’t know that could happen! I do love her hair color and skin.
I knew they could become sticky if they get too hot but not this!

Several of my darker tan matte dolls are having this issue. Some are really bad.
Bummmmer!!!!
They all are so pretty ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you
She is a very pretty doll. She reminds me of the sea with her green hair. Thanks for the info.
Yes, she would be a good mermaid doll too.

Great idea!! I can make hats and headbands for her, love it!
She IS a cutie!~ Oh dear. I should probably check my 'stash' too. But so far, no problems.
Oh, good to hear!
I have this doll and she is one of my favorites.❤️
She is so pretty!
Adorable.Love the jellyfish dress 🪼
😊
Much prefer term non stock doll! Fakey sounds really demeaning. Hat works ok; but I'd go w/ a hippie style head band across the forehead personally.
She is going to be rocking headbands and hats for sure. Yes, non stock is a term I'm going to try to keep using.
@@TammyPowley Thank you much appreciated. Not everyone can afford ( or is down w/ spending a fortune on dolls these days; I’m guessing.😉
What a shame about the discolouration! She looks so cute in her new outfit. ❤️
Thank you, yes, it's a bummer

Tammy, it happened to me too and I had taken the plastic off immediately. It was just time that did it :(

Hats and other camouflaged for now.
I just went to shop. The dress is not listed yet?I get paid tomorrow.I'm excited by one because it look good for my new girl Malibee
Not yet, hopefully soon. I'm still working on some and have to take photos. Thanks for asking. I'll announce when they are up in the shop.
This happened to two of my former matte dolls too. And another RUclipsr also complained about this issue, I never will get Matte faces again.
I doubt I will either. I don't usually buy matte ones but have more reason not to now.
@@TammyPowley even the aliexpress custom dolls get this issue, just saw it today on my dark custom blythe 🙄 I think the shiny dolls are also cute

@@TheDollCoven I've had two pale Matte face where this happened too. Actually tan, dark and pale everyone got it. 😅
It's not because of the plastic. Mine don't stay in their plastic at all. It's all over the head/face of several of mine.
Oh, really? Crap!
Is her hair color the same as Evelina’s blythe doll green? Just love it I have to get one.
I think similar
I had the same thing happen to my tan matte face, but she didn’t have plastic on. However, I think mine was too close to heat. 😅
This doll was kept in the AC, and it's never very warm in our house. I think the matte are just something to keep an eye on!
@@TammyPowley I agree, fickle and gorgeous… figures! 😂
Thanks for the heads up! Chemical reactions are always a possibility but maybe you can cover or camouflage somehow. 😉♥️
I’m in Sarasota Florida…. And I’d like to order some of them , I think I’ll order from EBay
They are cute dolls. I'm on the other side of the state from you ;)
