I love these segments just after Walt's passing. It still had his feel and strong reflections on Walt before it all faded away in the late 70's.
He was still in the forefront of the minds of those who produced these shows...and we are thankful for it!
Walt Disney was a shy, self-deprecating and insecure man in private but adopted a warm and outgoing public persona. He had high standards and high expectations of those with whom he worked. Although there have been accusations that he was racist or antisemitic, they have been contradicted by many who knew him. Historiography of Disney has taken a variety of perspectives, ranging from views of him as a purveyor of homely patriotic values to being a representative of American imperialism. He remains an important figure in the history of animation and in the cultural history of the United States, where he is considered a national cultural icon.

So, that’s where “The Mouse Factory” version of “Minnie’s Yoo Hoo” came from.

The version that aired on the Disney Channel in the 1980's-1990's was an edited version of the feature length compilation film (also titled "The Mickey Mouse Anniversary Show") that was shown in theaters internationally.
The film version drops the Dean Jones & former Mouseketeer footage live action, while Dean's narration was redubbed by voice actor Pete Renedout(Reneday); the ending Disneyland footage and the "Minnie's Yoo-Hoo" toy montage was preserved however.

One of the few posthumous filnings of the Walt Disney man himself. Hard to believe this aired two years after he died
Something about things that treat cartoon characters as if they were Hollywood golden age celebrities just tickles my brain the right way.
Love the ending where Mickey looks at the Epcot models and plans! And I guess the Mineral King resort was still in play then. I thought Mineral King was kept internal and there was no public announcements about it. I guess I was wrong. Thanks so much for your hard work!
I was very surprised by this clip since I was under the same assumption!! Very cool to see it!

@@kleeamd8274 That’s correct. I was just surprised to see a depiction on the television show!

Dean Jones Autobiography ‘Under Running Laughter’ is wonderful!
Looks like today’s all days for Mickey Mouse it’s all about for him. How lucky!
He was voiced by Jimmy MacDonald during this time (inheriting the voice from the late Walt Disney).

I can understand why Mickey Mouse's Japanese name was mistakenly translated as "Mickey Kuchi" before he was later called "Mikkii Mausu"(ミッキーマウス). Kuchi means "Mouth" which was probably the result of the pronunciation.

I will go back and make Dean Jones a Race Driver as Jim Douglas with a race car in 1968. He's not just an actor. He will run in real life to be a Disney Family and enter sports for race cars to win big money. I wish he'll have a second brother to enter sailing in the Olympic Games on ABC Sports, CBS Sports, and NBC Sports.
27:19 A reaction I’m sure many young men had for Annette at the time (sorry, couldn’t resist…)
The ending credits had not appeared in The Disneyland TV Show.
Thank you! I thought it was odd there weren’t any, but it does seem to work the way it is, with Mickey giving Minnie a little smooch!
Why is bimbo the dog the mickey plushies
Because toy manufacturers used to used them interchangeably because they looked the same and they thought kids wouldn't notice. You should see some the toys they made in places like England and Spain which feature Mickey and Felix together!
