Great review. I own.a 2012 Tuono just like this, love the power, handling, sound and looks. BUT, be ready for expensive maintenance. 2 things, stator issue and cooling issues. Positive thing is... I learned to replace stator/flywheel and RR. Also learned how to change cooling hoses and coolant manifold.
How often did you change the stator?
I've got a 2011 apcr... Love it
Excellent review. I’m on the hunt
"you cant take the money with you but you can have the good times" im buying now
How can you score 6/10 reliability when you don't own one?
Every bike has horror stories so very unfair.
I've had mine 3 years and bit one problem in 30,000 km!
Yes, every bike has horror stories. typically thats the exception and not the rule. I work in the industry so this is based on my experience with years around bikes. Its a fantastic machine but seems that the majority of motorcycle owners dont maintain or care for their bikes properly. On an italian bike with this much power, improper maintenance even in the slightest could lead to catastrophic failure. thanks for the comment!
@@MotoInsiders ah, so you're assuming people won't look after their bike?😅
@@ricardoedwardo5799 I see used bikes every day. A whole lot of people do not take care of their bikes. Just as many people do a great job. But it seems to be 50/50.
Power 10/10🔥🤙. 2009 BMW. M5. Power. 7/10😎
Very cool video! Well done, you didn't miss any key points or details! I'm even more convinced now to buy one! Ps: I had for 4 years an mt07 and this would be my second bike, would you recommend it ( it's my favorite bike)?
For sure! While it has similar power to the MT07, it weighs much less!
@@MotoInsiders 'similar power to the MT07'??? how are 168HP similar to 73HP?
@@MotoInsidersguess you don't know shit about motorcycles after all
Thanks for the good review video. I just found one of these in Ohio that I'm interested in but it feels a little pricey at $9K w/ 9K miles. Thoughts?
Sure thanks for watching! Hard to say, those things are a niche bike, and that could help or hurt the value based on who's looking. Seems like a fair price for a decent example though!
@@MotoInsiders let me ask for your opinion then, if you don't mind. I want to trade up from a Triumph Tiger 1050 to something sportier & faster. I have had faster in the past (BMW K12R) and loved it. I am 6'3', 250# and consider myself of above average skill but no track experience (hopefully in 2023 with the right bike). My normal rides are on weekends for 20-40 minutes on back roads in mid-Michigan. I "ride it like I stole it"! My budget is $7-10K, and my dream bike is the KTM 1290 Superduke R (I would get the new BMW M10000-R if money were not a factor. So far I'm looking at the Tuono, an MT-10, an older Superduke or S1000R. Would you include anything else in my search? And if it were your money and you could only afford one weekend bike with my criteria (Fast & sporty naked bike) what would you choose?
Thank you in advance for taking the time to respond. I'll start watching more of your reviews now!
Why do the army drive always on highways or on straightaway roads ? I mean as Italian I can’t understand the reasons to have such a great machine and then drive on such a unfunny road.
Looking at a 2011 aprc around £7000 or a factory 1100 2015 around £10000 is the 2015 1100 worth the extra money?
Newer is always better with the euro bikes!
I came to see some reviews about this bike and i find a review of the exact bike i was looking at on auto trader from seminole powersports. This is a nice bike and the exhaust is sexy as hell. I just saw it for $7,900 on auto trader, but you say $6,900. Im in Deltona, do you guys do test rides?
I'll send you a DM its still available!

Could you be any less specific in your review and numbers? You simply gave scores without any info to back it up. Everything was a generalization. What ARE the costs of maintenance…simply saving they are about average tells us little to nothing and then you gave it a score of 7/10? Why? If it’s the same as every other bike…should that be a 5 since it’s average? Not trying to be a jerk…but I learned nothing from your video. I’m telling you this in hopes that you can do them differently or better moving forward. Thanks.
It's my opinion man, I've ridden better bikes. Most people don't care to sit and listen to specs and numbers. You can always look that stuff up.
@@MotoInsiders based upon your video that is exactly the response I anticipated. Thanks.
Didn’t see you using the quick shifter
You can hear it, and see the lack of clutch actuation lol

Aprilia Performance Ride Control!
@@MotoInsiders ok thanks bud, so what is that ride control?
@@fireblade_ninja308 its all the electronic rider assists, abs, tc, wheelie control, power modes
@@MotoInsiders thanks for the info man
Pretty poor review if you can't give one of the top super bikes on the planet a 10. The 1100 is a slight bump but is not hands down even considered a better bike. Reliability a 6, on what hearsay. Why would you rate a bike like this on practicality. This isn't a practical bike for anyone. What am I gonna commute on this thing. You need to take a look at what the intended function and design is for the machine. APRILIA MAKE A HIGH END SPORT BIKE BUILT FOR TRACK DAYS.
It's my opinion, and nothing can be a 10 really. My Z H2 SE was hands down a better bike in every category. To some folks sport bikes are the only thing that exist. So of course I'm going to mention practicality. Most people just want to have a sport bike and they're going to commute on it or whatever else. It would be a poor review if I was an Aprilia fan boy and gave it a 10 just because it's cool.
@MotoInsiders no body said it needed to be a 10. Just be real about what it's designed for. Compare with the other hyper naked.
@MotoInsiders Your zh2 will not out perform at the track fan boy. O it wasn't designed for the track, thats right.
@@canyonmannnn maybe you just need a rider mod 🤷♂️
