I refused to watch any tutorial videos and was determined to figure out this game. Walking around dying of starvation constantly. I remember finding my first Mosin and actually getting food and hunting deer then logging in only to still not know about hot keys and got beaten to death by a freshie. I was devastated and didnt play for a week. Now I have thousands of hours and cant believe how far I have come. Thanks for the video Scalespeeder, your videos helped me mod my xbox server and have loads of fun with friends on our private play land.
I always said when you finally learn dayz that’s when the fun stops lol learning and finding out new things was fun and wish dayz was more interactive with the environment like being able to interact with anything would be cool
There is a scavanger mod on pc that let you search every object on the map, from garbage cans to toilets. It makes looting a town take forever.@Wakuppeopletheywanttocontrolus
PIGEON will have a Sakall server on XBOX. No base raiding but other than that it’s just a bit easier than official. I’ve been playing on his Chernurus server for 3 years. Good to know your base is safe. Good for beginners. Peace, good luck.
To learn the basics ropes, a nice low pop community, no KOS, PVE server. Yeah its like tutorial mode, but it will reward you in the long run. Also the tutorials by players/streamers on RUclips are worth dipping into. Especially those on crafting. Still learning after almost 7000 hours in game.
In the 1st 10 minutes before I play I roll a really phat one and get really chilled out. Then I’ll gear up quickly on Chernurus low pop and fly over to Sakall to die😂
you start on the south of the map and work your way north on chenarus?????? that is a pretty important thing that people should no that that dont start north like you said but every map is different
Hi my mate installed day z went to load it up got the loading in screen to the server but then windows shuts down the app with no error message just wont load reinstalled it verify the files still wont load in any ideas mate
+ on official.. checkmark the 2 or 3 servers with the lowest ping.. + Lower pop gives you a chance to feel out;.. zeds, your stats, and the sometimes janky mechanics.. + Hackers and cheaters exist mostly on the coast for easy kills.. if they show up.. switch to your other servers... Or get 2k up the map.. thats their ESP range and they don't like the gear you can find there. +Scalespeeder and others ..also have info on a single player practice mode, thats a bit hard to set up, but allows for a free play to get used to things. + You don't own your gear.. your just renting it till you get deaded. 🤣 Good luck 👍😎 BE A SURVIVOR.. butthurt doesn't exist 4u.. .. mostly 😝
Anyone having issues with when their server restarts and it takes over 10 minutes to get back up and running. Any tips to help make it go faster maybe?? It used to only like like 5 or less minutes now it’s well over 10

I made the mistake of joining pvp servers. If you are new hop on a ftiendly pve server and learn in a better environment.
What does PVE mean? Player Vs Environment?

Prob sounds stupid but idk your gear, make sure your pc meets minimum requirements and also check to see if battle eye is working properly
