I think the orange thing is about a person's skin tone or possibly chemistry? My friend Laura has that issue with colourpop shadows, but I don't. She is very fair and I am medium-tan. I've also seen it happen with cle de peau. We were standing at the counter and both swatched a gorgeous cream formula in purple. On me it looked as you would expect looking at the pot. On her it was BROWN. She was disappointed because she loved the color. We put a different base under it on her and it look slightly more purple. I think it is so interesting.
For me it’s the same , the CT transition shades are all too orangy for my taste.....and I have several CT palettes
Yup i feel like every single palette every single brand releases are so orange as hell and then when they do release a cool palette its gray and purple as hell theres nothing in between...
I agree, I thought pillowtalk would be more pink, but it is orange on me.
I agree. I love Urban Decays NUDE palettes better. I need more light shades as well in a palette.
That lipstick just brought the entire look together! You eyes just popped out when you put it on. I love the KISSING formula and I think I need that color! I have the eye palette already and have been enjoying it. The first shade pulls fairly orange on my lids too. I'd love a straight up cool 6 pan palette from CT with no orange in sight.
You confirmed for me that this palette is a must have. I love her eye shadows but most of them are very warm. I was so excited when I saw that she had released the nude palette. It is absolutely beautiful! Thank you for reviewing and helping me make up my mind.

Ikr, it would have to be ⅔ mattes tho (of course, I'm totally selfish and only thinking about what I want 😂) - talk about a "sell out palette", it would sold out within the 1st 20mins of launch! xx

It has the vibes of the WG palette imo but when the CT palette is applied to the eye, I actually think the shades are more flattering, especially as the black blends out not 'harsh ' 🤗
I always want to buy CT eyeshadow palette. I love her packaging but she never make palettes that will work on my skin tone, so I never get excited for her palette launches.
I just bought this palette and I am watching this review again. It is funny how my perspective changes from three years ago. I read my comment from your original video. This particular palette wasn’t my favorite because it didn’t have a shimmer shade. Now, I wearing all matte looks regularly. This palette makes a lovely travel palette. And it stores quite nicely in my everyday makeup bag.
This super nude CT eye palette and lipstick definitely has more depth. Certainly appeals to me and love this overall look on you, Michele!
This palette already has great reviews on Sephora, a few though but looks like those that provided their input love this palette
I just bought the Bobbi Brown Golden Slipper eye shadow Palette... I LOVE IT!! it is the best little secret! it is perfect.. I know everyone is stuck on CT but check out the Bobbi Brown collection.. it is lovely!

I agree with your orange looks of CT eyeshadows. Maybe because I am asian as you are, but I like it anyway, it looks fresh and makes my (small) eyes look clearer.

I have that same orange issue with the darling palette. The shades appear MUCH warmer on my skin tone than on swatches I've seen on other skin tones.

Super Nude should be called Super Mauve. Definitely doesn't look like what I would consider a nude shade. It's a great color for you, but definitely not nude enough for me.

Yup even the cool shade next to the black pulled a little orange. I thought it was just me, and was pulling new clean brushes to reapply.
I really want to get this palette! Because I have hooded eyes I don’t have much space to do anything out of the world with my eye looks so I’m really into nude browns and colors like that that makes a difference on my eyes and open them up instead of pulling them down even more. I always gravitate to lighter eye shadows 😊

Hi Michelle, I just bought the palette and had the same experience as you (looked for reviews, because i found it to be strange) - with the lighter colors (except for the ivory one) both looking quite yellowish/orangey after application! Very different from what they seem like in the pan. It's a shame, because the texture of the eye shadows is exquisite.

Wow, this is probably one of the most neutral palettes l have seen in a while from CT (though her shadows typically pull warmer on me too) The look you created is so nice and I love how you neutralized it with the other colors in the palette! Looks great!

It’s also much warmer than the Naked Nudes palette from Urban Decay - that palette is really cool toned, which is not something I want when I’m buying nude colours.

Michele, can you consider reviewing the Scott Barnes Mesmerize eyeshadow palette? I think it is very pretty but I don’t know that it is worth $120? In his video tutorial here on YT, he said the formula is what makes it expensive. I would like to hear your opinion on that “expensive” formula. 🙏🏼
I just looked this up and then looked at one of the eyeshadows ingredients the Topaz one. I just looked up all the ingredients and prices. It’s what I like to do. I make soaps and body care etc.. AND I don’t see what he is talking about. Of course I could be wrong 😒
Yea I think so too as far as the base color. Her palettes all seem to go orange for me as well if they are neutral colors. Basically all look the same once on the skin. Ive returned them for this very reason. This looked like a nice palette too but i think ill pass since ive bought a few new ones recently.

CT transition shades always look orange on me with the exception of the pillow talk and exaggereyes quads. Even the pink tones in the large PT palette all look orange.
Years and years ago when I was in high school (the late 80's), Estee Lauder had a gorgeous lipstick called either Shell or Shell Pink. Anyone else remember that one?

I had a bit of a splurge in CT and picked up the eye palette as well. The 2nd shade is also pretty warm on me but overall I’m really pleased with it. The formula is lovely and I love the look you did with it, the lipstick looked gorgeous on you!
I'm happy with this review. I want that palette and Ive seen mixed reviews. I trust your reviews and opinions we have similar taste. I got that lipstick out of the three and I find it pretty but way darker than I expected, not a nude for my complexion definitely. Love you

Thanks for the great info and swatches. I have a problem with makeup looking too warm or “orangey” on me, which then takes on a muddied tone. You touched upon something I’ve been wondering about, so many of the C.T. new releases are starting to look the same to me, lips and eye palettes. Although I love the formulas, especially her powders and eye shadows, it’s been overwhelming for me to process. That’s why I appreciate RUclips so much! Everything looked great on you, as usual! 🤗
This makeup looks fantastic on you. Unfortunately it is another palette with various shades of orange sand, but super fantastic for you.
I wish the eyeshadow palette would have a shimmer shade. I know that it only has six shades, but I typically throw a shimmer shade on my lid. I was hoping this would be a cooler version of the Easy Eye Charlotte Darling palette. I own that palette and I simply adore it.
How is that color lipstick considered a “nude?” I have lost sight of what “nude” means in makeup because literally everything now is considered “nude.”
Because nude refers to true-ish lip color and whichever specific one/s you have in mind is/are not the only lip color/s, look around (look at the brands target market/s specifically)

Funny, I find all my CT lipsticks warm up when I put them on - Confession is always WAY more orange than I want it to be. I’ve had my eye on Super Nude so thanks for the review!
The palette just looks muddy to me. I just don’t think CT’s strengths lie in eye powder. Give me a cream or a chubby stick, but these shadows don’t seem to be ones I reach for.
Omg, same thing happens to me with CT eyeshadows!! I love CT makeup line so, so much but warm orangey, reddish tones really don't suit me and everything turns very orangey/red. I think it's the tone she prefers. It looks amazing on her & obviously other women it suits.
I bought this yesterday, thanks F&F Sephora sale, and I’m on the fence. I have to really pack this on to make a difference. I am one of those rare ladies -who’s med. tan - warm undertones that love cool shadows. Yes, I agree that it blends well but this one didn’t wow me. This may have to go back sadly.
