He got the sack because of results. He said that we have a great group but we were 14th when he left.
He was sacked because of results nothing else. He was then paid off to the tune of millions. Seems a top bloke but but way Talksport worship English managers who have mediocre records is embarrassing. Look at the difference between the treatment of the likes of Bruce/Warnock to the likes of Ole/Falke.

I heard an interview shortly after and he didn't really say anything overally negative about the departure so the not being let in must have really p--eed him off.

Warnock got given a chance at the beginning of the season and at the point he left the club weren't moving forward, so the change made sense. UTB
@Rodger Rodgers of course I did!!! If the results were better he'd still be there, simple as. Maybe you've forgotten that he was leaving at the end of the season!!! It was best that he left when he did. NW did a great job of keeping us up in his first season, but since Jan 2021 the results have been indifferent. At the moment 3 games in it looks like it was the right choice, but there's a long way to go with Wilder.
