Haha, that's what happen to me too. I usually 100% the new region in 1-2 days at most when they were out, but now....i only completed this quest today, my advice, take it slowly mate, i stopped then continue a lot starting the sumeru desert region, n did the chain quest part per part. I rarely followed a guide apart on things i was stuck. It can be daunting to see some quest took hours on yt, also i find my self not obsessed with 100% exploration anymore, i find my fun back on playing the game because of that. Though i am criticizing this new trend on the event by mihoyo, they added so much unskippable chat line, it takes hours
I played it in a way I wouldnt burn out. Returned to the game for the .0 region updates (I did this for 2.0 and 3.0), played actively until the archon quests ended (2-3 updates) and then quit the game and just come back a few times for the more interesting events. And here I am again, 4.0 is coming soon and I have a bunch of these quests piled up so that I have things to do for the month. I guess that wouldnt work as well for a full free-to-play player but I did pull a lot back in the day so I have zero fear of missing out on reruns or whatnot. My Ganyu carries everything and I pulled for Cyno, don't need anybody else and never will because I don't give a shit about abyss and the extra 600 primogems (OMG missing out on a whole 3.75 pulls every 2 months 😱)
If the pieces of the puzzle that are used to direct energy refuse to move, try moving the green thingy (Farrwick) away from the energy source and then put it back and try moving the thing again.

The Chinese players are done with the quest before you even finish reading the first cutscene. It's not a Chinese developer's fault that English is a lot more bloated than Chinese is. They made this game in Chinese, so in Chinese they ARE doing better.

You can use a skip button to go straight to the quest, it’s on the event page. I didnt complete this quest before doing the event, so you don’t have to suffer through all of it if you haven’t finished. I believe you just click ‘quick start’ and ignore the lore warnings or whatever and you can do it then go back and do this if you want the backstory and lore 😊
Can anyone read fast enough to follow the un-voiced during-gameplay (when you can move around or fight) conversations? English may not be my first language but I find it hard to believe that that matters here; even when I stand still I can't read most of it, because the lines are on screen for like 1-2 seconds or something. It's annoying enough that they throw all this text at you while you fight and stuff (Aranara questline was horrible with that), but it's much worse that it's just so darn fast. I have no clue why MHY does not include a dialogue history button... I just can't understand it. So many text-heavy games have this basic feature. Then you can check what you missed. The black screens with white text also often go too fast. It's so weird that they make those play on auto even if your normal text is not on auto and they make it run so much faster than normal text. Seriously annoying how Genshin is soooo dialogue-heavy, but it still lacks a basic skip (I would use it for the commissions you've done a million times already) or fast forward button and a basic history log even in 3.6 while it's been an issue since the start... I don't understand why they don't just add such basic, HUGE quality of life things (same as friends only coop, or fullscreen windowed mode, stuff like that). With all the money they earn, with all the love they put into so many aspects of the game, I will never understand why they pay so incredibly little attention to quality of life. It's like they only care about bringing out content and having it look good, while never stopping and thinking about the actual user experience. That's not even touching archiving event stories and such because new players and returning players always need to check out youtube for countless hours if they want to see what old event stories were; many of them being canon and important... Also feel like all the feedback forms just get ignored. Not a single time has anything I wrote down in them been taken into account since 1.0.
The problem is that Chinese is a lot more condensed than English. You can say in four syllables what would take 16 syllables in English. Literally a sentence in Chinese becomes a paragraph in English. Now, because the game is made by a Chinese company, of course they're not thinking about how much more bloated English translations are going to be. It's completely unreasonable for us, but for them it's just a bit of light reading. If you want to see an example of what I'm talking about, look at what hu tao Is singing in Chinese versus English. Your jaw will drop that she was able to say all that in the same amount of time. Unfortunately, that's not their problem.
idk maybe youre just a kid but for me glancing once at the text is enought to recreate a mental image of it in my head and I can keep up most of the time. Thats why I can spam through the dialogue and still understand whats going on lol. Read more books lil bro
@@shyshka_ I'm not a kid. Not everyone can read an entire line of text just at a glance. It's partially a skill, but also has to do with other factors. Mental image has nothing to do with it in this case; I'm just not fast enough sadly. I do know I'm slower than many other people when it comes to reading and processing this information. It will take me quite some hours longer than some people to finish a book. Especially in these cases where I need to focus on other things. Remember in this post it is mostly about the moments where you need to fight, etc. I can't focus on that and reading at the same time. And I play the game with JP dub, so listening only helps partially, as I know a lot of words, but not everything. And I noticed many other people struggle with this as well in the game, having to fight and read at the same time. People are not built to multi-task. Do both and you will miss parts of both. Focus on one and you neglect the other. Sure, if you're super fast it might be less of an issue, but speed-reading, what your method sounds like, is definitely not something many can do. Adult or not. I'm 30 and I read all the time, in 2 languages and learning a 3rd. University level for the first 2. I'm autistic though - not sure if that fully matters here, though it does matter that I want to read every word correctly. I've noticed over the years that many people who read fast, don't read accurately and miss a lot of words or misinterpret stuff easier. Some details may not be important, but to me every detail matters and has to register, or I will get frustrated and will just re-read a sentence if I notice my attention is dropping and I miss something. The information I read needs to be 'complete'. But yeah, books are something different from having to focus on reading mid-combat while the text disappears really quickly. If you can do that, props to you. That really is something many struggle with. I often don't even read fast enough to read all of the white text on black screen, as that lasts like 1-2 seconds. So, mental image won't come into play, as I just won't be done reading :S
Food buffs, bring a healer or make a LOT of healing food before starting…that’s what I did 😂 I also used the freeze reaction a lot which helped me concentrate on fighting one enemy at a time. Basically, just bring something or someone who can heal so you don’t die 🙂

Finishing the quest itself should get you about half of the region or more done I’d say it’s a whole lot better than the Aranara one

If you have only one green thing at 1:39:30 it’s because genshin drops it when you teleport. Go back to where you teleported from to pick it up

You can use a skip button to go straight to the quest, it’s on the event page. I didnt complete this quest before doing the event, so you don’t have to suffer through all of it if you haven’t finished. I believe you just click ‘quick start’ and ignore the lore warnings or whatever and you can do it then go back and do this if you want the backstory and lore 😊

Can anyone read fast enough to follow the un-voiced during-gameplay (when you can move around or fight) conversations?
English may not be my first language but I find it hard to believe that that matters here; even when I stand still I can't read most of it, because the lines are on screen for like 1-2 seconds or something.
It's annoying enough that they throw all this text at you while you fight and stuff (Aranara questline was horrible with that), but it's much worse that it's just so darn fast. I have no clue why MHY does not include a dialogue history button... I just can't understand it. So many text-heavy games have this basic feature. Then you can check what you missed.
The black screens with white text also often go too fast. It's so weird that they make those play on auto even if your normal text is not on auto and they make it run so much faster than normal text.
Seriously annoying how Genshin is soooo dialogue-heavy, but it still lacks a basic skip (I would use it for the commissions you've done a million times already) or fast forward button and a basic history log even in 3.6 while it's been an issue since the start... I don't understand why they don't just add such basic, HUGE quality of life things (same as friends only coop, or fullscreen windowed mode, stuff like that). With all the money they earn, with all the love they put into so many aspects of the game, I will never understand why they pay so incredibly little attention to quality of life. It's like they only care about bringing out content and having it look good, while never stopping and thinking about the actual user experience.
That's not even touching archiving event stories and such because new players and returning players always need to check out youtube for countless hours if they want to see what old event stories were; many of them being canon and important...
Also feel like all the feedback forms just get ignored. Not a single time has anything I wrote down in them been taken into account since 1.0.
The problem is that Chinese is a lot more condensed than English. You can say in four syllables what would take 16 syllables in English. Literally a sentence in Chinese becomes a paragraph in English. Now, because the game is made by a Chinese company, of course they're not thinking about how much more bloated English translations are going to be. It's completely unreasonable for us, but for them it's just a bit of light reading. If you want to see an example of what I'm talking about, look at what hu tao Is singing in Chinese versus English. Your jaw will drop that she was able to say all that in the same amount of time. Unfortunately, that's not their problem.

idk maybe youre just a kid but for me glancing once at the text is enought to recreate a mental image of it in my head and I can keep up most of the time. Thats why I can spam through the dialogue and still understand whats going on lol. Read more books lil bro
@@shyshka_ I'm not a kid. Not everyone can read an entire line of text just at a glance. It's partially a skill, but also has to do with other factors.
Mental image has nothing to do with it in this case; I'm just not fast enough sadly. I do know I'm slower than many other people when it comes to reading and processing this information. It will take me quite some hours longer than some people to finish a book.
Especially in these cases where I need to focus on other things. Remember in this post it is mostly about the moments where you need to fight, etc. I can't focus on that and reading at the same time. And I play the game with JP dub, so listening only helps partially, as I know a lot of words, but not everything. And I noticed many other people struggle with this as well in the game, having to fight and read at the same time. People are not built to multi-task. Do both and you will miss parts of both. Focus on one and you neglect the other. Sure, if you're super fast it might be less of an issue, but speed-reading, what your method sounds like, is definitely not something many can do. Adult or not.
I'm 30 and I read all the time, in 2 languages and learning a 3rd. University level for the first 2. I'm autistic though - not sure if that fully matters here, though it does matter that I want to read every word correctly. I've noticed over the years that many people who read fast, don't read accurately and miss a lot of words or misinterpret stuff easier. Some details may not be important, but to me every detail matters and has to register, or I will get frustrated and will just re-read a sentence if I notice my attention is dropping and I miss something. The information I read needs to be 'complete'.
But yeah, books are something different from having to focus on reading mid-combat while the text disappears really quickly. If you can do that, props to you. That really is something many struggle with.
I often don't even read fast enough to read all of the white text on black screen, as that lasts like 1-2 seconds. So, mental image won't come into play, as I just won't be done reading :S

Food buffs, bring a healer or make a LOT of healing food before starting…that’s what I did 😂 I also used the freeze reaction a lot which helped me concentrate on fighting one enemy at a time. Basically, just bring something or someone who can heal so you don’t die 🙂
