- An Arkansas woman is suing a state trooper, claiming he negligently caused her car to flip on the interstate. Nicole Harper, who was pregnant at the time of the incident, told the trooper from the overturned vehicle that she had her flashers on and was looking for a safe place to pull over. The trooper said Harper was speeding and didn’t pull over fast enough. After the trooper rammed the car’s rear bumper, it spun out of control across the highway, hit a wall and flipped over. #InsideEdition

She had the right to find a safe place to pull over, and had even used her turn signal and hazard lights to indicate that's what she was doing. To then intentionally ram her off the road and just stand there lecturing her after he flipped her vehicle... no words. I went through a miracle pregnancy after years of fertility treatments and would have been having a meltdown in fear of losing the baby. That cop needs to be removed from the force! He is a dangerous menace!
lol this happened to me one time but the cop was on a motorcycle so he couldn't have tried that on me. he just kept flashing the lights and making the loud siren sound that's like move move. i didn't want to stop because it was too much traffic so i waited until i got down the street i was going to turn right on. he lectured me about not stopping and said whether you have anxiety or whatever, you gotta immediately stop. in my mind, i was just thinking, thanks for the police escort... that traffic really was aggravating me. 😅

I looked like there were a whole 4 cars on the road, 2 of them being way ahead and the other 2 being the suv and the police car, it was completely safe to pull over. This woman was just trying to evade getting fined. Hope her kid isn't as stupid as she is smh

He could of used other ways or just waited for the women to stop on the side of the road but no he didn't and I hope he goes to jail and get sued for what he has done. Cops don't have to obey the laws like we do. How this cop didn't know, or more likely chose to ignore, the law indicating she was trying to find a safer location to pull over. It's absurd.
Ever think people may be doing so not only for their sake, but to be courteous to the officer having to stand out in the open on a busy highway??
They even make highway emergency areas for things like accidents and pullovers.

He ALSO nearly killed a woman, what if she weren't pregnant? Would this make it less worse or the officer less "horrible of a person" or "horrible at his job"? No, he should be fired or unpaid leave. As part of the settlement, the ASP has had troopers undergo additional training after learning of the PIT maneuver used on Harper.

In the begining when the officer puts on his lights look up n to the right the big advertisement signs. Do u see all of them all the way down? Ok now look at the same spot when she got pitted. That means she had to have driven all that way n still not pulled over. So although I appreciate u trying to defuse, noone is getting away with a tie. Ur taking the loss. I have enough information to justify the PIT and you DONT have enough information to say it wasn't justified. Add that to the fact that he has to get permission from the supervisor and give multiple verbal as well. My position stands and is correct.

She did everything right to pull over in a safe place to keep her and the officer safe. I’ve done the exact same thing in Texas and every officer has appreciated me looking out for their safety.
