Wow... Bravo! This melody is amazing and I can't get enough of it. I tend to always get addicted to hearing it countless times instead of just once or twice! I've watched various performances by various artists but I never once saw a viola-violin duo before. Great addition to my favorites! Thanks, girls!
How fantastic it would be to sit in the living room and watch these two ladies play this live. It's been my favourite movie and soundtrack ever since the film was first released. I am glad it is getting greater recognition over the years as younger generations discover it. It's always been a masterpiece.
Great song, great playing, great view. I felt like I turned a corner this evening after playing terrible earlier. I started playing lighter with the bow, less pressure, sounds so much better.
Nice playing! The theme was used in the 1992 movie "Last of the Mohicans" as you mentioned. Just wanted to add that the movie adapted the arrangement from the original version of "The Gael" composed by Dougie MacLean. It was released on an album called "The Search", June 1, 1990.
This song played in the movie during one of the saddest scenes ever, so heartbreaking. These women and their playing is sublime, thank you for sharing :)

The original song, called "The Gael", is absolutely stunning. While this is a great rendition, I recommend viewers look up the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo's Combined Pipes, Drums and military band's version - it sends absolute chills through the body!!
OK I just saw the REM Tattoo version and yes it was excellent. While that was a great rendition, there were over 200 band members and no gorgeous legs. Also no Suki at the end so this video wins hands down.
