All of the major human ships in Halo are legitimately entirely built around their railgun. When they are that big they are called MAC’s (Magnetic Accelerator Cannon) and that is a Strident class frigate I think which would have the Mk 4. Mark 5 “Super” MAC’s we have specifications for- those can shoot a 3000 ton ferric slug with a depleted uranium core at 4% the speed of light, and it barely breaks the alien’s capital ships shields. This one would likely be a 300 ton slug and it could be fired with just some of the deuterium fusion powered capacitors - they must’ve done that here otherwise it would have looked like 100 nukes landing at once. Lastly on what the freelancers are, idk if you have looked into it since but generally the setting appears to be an offshoot of the Halo universe after the end of the Covenant in Halo 3 with Freelancer being some secret ONI/UNSC project under that. Its my opinion that the reason they are insanely strong and for whatever reason have armor with at least some of the properties of Mjolnir Spartan armor is because they are from one of the rumored second batch of Spartan II’s (what master chief is) or Spartan III’s or a washout from one of those programs that required more medical help. Spartan 3’s aré actually less strong than 2’s cause the process to make them was less traumatic and fucked up. Also the war against the Outer Colonies insurrection was the original war that Spartans were designed to fight - we were just super lucky the government had done a really fucked up thing to give us 30 captain americas in power armor when the aliens ran into Harvest outta nowhere. As a baseline human you would literally die from the strength enhancement of all early Mjolnir and they act like superheroes, and they have an AI made from a still living person which is insane bleeding edge tech. Only one was made like that in the Halo universe, Cortana who was based on a cloned brain of the inventor of Spartans. Normally they are made from a copied neural lattern after death. TLDR they are connected AF despite also being AWOL. Postscript cause I already wrote too much, The other good evidence they are Spartans is that because of the insane augmentations to their brain, body, skeleton and armor they tend to operate in what is called Spartan Time, which is a strange amalgamation of watching everyone else in slowmo (like South in ep 1), being extraordinarily instinctually aware of various Physics based effects - like they could eyeball anything (like Maine knowing when to drive the car out the window) or respond physically before their brains really processed what they did (like the whole show). I really love the sci fi of Halo if that isn’t obvious but I thoroughly believe red vs blue is actually the best representation of what a spartan actually would look like, maybe with the exception of the 1st scene in Halo 5- and the spartan time sort of ties the whole effect together, cause just like with all Human perception its a nonsense amalgam that becomes normalized in our head and a bunch of asymmetric modifications to sight, reaction time, remapping the brain, and having fiber optics triggered external muscles attatched at all times would not make things just slow motion it would look like this show.
Know I'm a bit late but that isn't a strident. That's a charon class and in season 10 they messed up a bit and made it a paris class. In that specific scene it is a charon though. Halo 4 decided that for some reason the charon wasn't good enough and decided to change the entire ship and try and keep the same name. Causes some confusion.
If the other guy was late I'm really late. The freelancers aren't Spartans. We actually know a lot of their backstories, mostly former UNSC troopers. All the stuff you said about the Halo lore is true, but the Freelancer stuff ... they already had simulation troopers using Mjolnir armor. There's no way to explain that once they started taking lore seriously. RvB is it's own thing. Its definitely had Halo's story going on, but with changes to make RvB work. You kind of just have to accept that they don't actually line up properly.
The fuel rod has an arming distance which means it won’t detonate for a certain distance away from the gun. When it hits something in that range it bounces.
duck: wait the whole ship is turning why not just turn the gun
THE SHIP IS A GUN XD
Now maine talk several times before he is shit in the throat like when he,Wyoming and York fought tex and the healers came in he said
"Don't touch me"

Sharkface is one of my favorite characters tbh.
Next to Caboose and Wash. (Also congrats you got a new sub)
7:53 that dude, is DEAD, like reduced to atoms level of DEAD, like holy s***!! he's DEAD.
And yet surprisingly it was just his arm that was taken off. He was buried under the building though.
Maine is like Doomguy, but without morals.
The other thing was The Director and the Chairman were going back and forth, not the counselor
Be cautious of the man of shark he is important later
This is a reupload
Why would you spoil
Bruh, i'll have to watch everything again
“I wonder: How deep did that go?”
*Yes.*

"Why not just turn the gun?" Most UNSC ships were built around their railguns. Think of it like a giant voidborne equivalent to an A-10.
Sharkface! Ohh Ha Ha!
I'm still here on your new channel
Ayyyyy
Maine stole the show for me. So awesome and brutal.
Who designs a gun that bounces
no, the Counselor and the Director are NOT the ones who were going back and forth, you are thinking of the Director and the Chairman
Hello there
