Im glad to see this tutorial. The printed directions that come with the cam are printed in the smallest font possible. Impossible to read with the naked eye. I noticed with the plug that goes in the cigarette lighter socket, that it has two ports. One red and one black. I also saw that you plugged the cable into the red port. Is the black port simply an extra port, so that a cell phone cable could be plugged into it at the same time?

Thanks Rebecca for a comprehensive review, but I still have a couple of questions: (1) When you command the camera to "shoot left /shoot right /shoot inside", the camera lens rotates to that position, but only holds that position for 10 seconds. If I had a police interaction at my driver's window, for example, I would want the camera to hold the "shoot left" position until the interaction is complete. Can the lens turret be manually rotated left with your hand and will it hold that position until it is manually rotated back to the "shoot forward" position? (2) A number of people are complaining that the camera is listening and taking commands from their radio, passenger conversations and the navigation system of their car. Example: The navigation system says; "turn right at the next intersection" and the camera "shoots right". The camera should have a specific address, such as "OMNI, shoot left", just as one needs to say; ALEXA, what is today's weather forecast?" Both of these issues could probably be fixed by a software update, but no sight of one yet. (3) I have a smartphone with a talk and text package and no data. I can only connect my smartphone to the internet through my home WiFi or another WiFi hotspot. Once I download the app when my phone is connected to the internet, will the phone app then communicate with the OMNI? (4) Finally, many are reporting battery failures after only a few months, if the battery is exposed to extreme temperatures, either very hot, or very cold. Thanks, I hope you or your commenters can answer these questions.

I want to say that this was the best video I found online for install, every other one skips the actual full process. I also have to say that I didn't receive the hard wire must have been a special during your purchase. Great video so sad I didn't get the hard wire kit.

By using the omni 360 camera with the 4G kit, can the 4G system be used for hotspotting? For example, my car has an Android car radio, can I give it the 4G Wi-Fi connection? where for example, give 4G wi-fi to a mobile phone or any other device?

yes, easy to disconnect. There is a wire connection right at the top of the camera, just like plugging in your cell phone, you can just disconnect really easy.

I am having an issue with mine if you could please help me… I hardwired it but it doesn’t work when the car is off. It only works when I the car is on
OK do we have to use the app and tie up our iPhone for this thing to function I noticed when I had the app running the thing was on and when it went to music or it went to notifications or anything else nothing shut off, so can’t we use it independent of our iPhone I mean the last thing I wanna do is buy an iPhone for the dash cam

How do you record? I just bought it today. When I turn on my vehicle it says it's recording. I drove around for a bit. But I see no footage of my drive once I was done driving. Please Help!

Hi Rebecca. I connected the 70 Mai same brand as the one shown. Any idea why it's killing my battery. I disconnected it last night to prove it's not the battery. My battery was ok. Any suggestions in the settings please. I know my yellow and red wire twisted together to one fuse and the grounded. Another thing I have another dash cam hardwired. Thanks

One question. Is the motion detection working properly on your Omni during surveillance mode when your car is parked? What setup you had to do for it to work? Does ADAS has to be enabled for it to work?
You need to go through the app and scroll, it's in there to ENABLE the parking part...There is a way -- that is in the app under settings.... just dig into it, it has so many features...
@@RebeccaBrand oh I’ve done that. Even in the cam menu as well to make sure it is ON. Still not detecting motion
hmmm, keep going through the menu...It was much bigger than I thought, so if you watch the video, there is that part for the parking. I have to say the parking on mine is working. Just last night, as I got into my car, the Omni spoke to me as I entered the car and said it had detected suspicious motion at night around my car, which was accurate.

Yes, language is what you choose. I think you can choose the length of your video recordings. It's really amazing. I can vlog from this!
How would I hard wire it to the fuse box on a Challenger? Fuse boxes on Challengers are in the truck.

God send a decent dashcam to purchase for a Mercedes. Been hit twice whilst parked hit and run incidents paying excess on my insurance. Ty for the vlog, definitely know what my next purchase will be 👍
I bout one but returned it as it only records left and right for only 10 seconds. If it would record in the position you chose until you moved it again, I would've kept it. If your going to record an interaction with a police officer, 10 seconds to the left or right just doesn't suffice. I couldn't care less about selfies. Otherwise, a great camera.
So you have to tell it to record anytime you want footage
Shoot emergency video isn't needed everytime, you just need to say it if you had an accident and the dashcam didn't kept the footage (it will, trust me I had an accident and my 70mai dashcam did register the video) :)
If rear side accident, it be a bit late for the camera to turn? Or am I missing something here?
You would need to tell it to turn left. but any evidence is better than none.
Forgets to mention it needs full access to all your phones data to use it, that’s a big no for me.
The device will not shoot you from the back because the AI feature works with the view from where the camera is pointing to which is front view. Am I right?

Yes, it will film for 1 min. Then if you park and someone hits it, it is rolling, and will back roll 1 minute. Great design.

Hi! This particular model will swing all the way around, but is just a front camera that will swing around. Check out my recent video showing 4 different models of 70Mail --- some have back cameras. GREAT BRAND lots of choices!

I don't know because it's either plugged in the car jack or mine is hard wired. it's always on and does not drain the battery.

I want this cam but just as with other dash cams, I worry that some low-life thieving individual may see it and break the screen just to get it, thinking it is an expensive product whereas it is not. Does anyone else have this concern?
You r wrong with motion detection thing, i have this dash cam and motion detection only works when someone touch the car but it doesn’t start instantly so if someone hit your car when parked it wont record instantly, i tested already
