  • This video should help students get a grasp on the ridiculously complex series of events that take place during development of the large vessels. From the small aortic arches in the pharyngeal region to the aorta, pulmonary arteries, and subclavian arteries, this video will show you step-by-step how our vasculature develops. Enjoy!

I don't even have words for how beautifully done this is, as well as your other video on pharyngeal pouches. Much better than anyone at my medical school attempted to do. THANK YOU!
Just a small correction you may want to annotate that I caught: At 15:41, as you're talking about the right side connections between the 4th and 6th arches disappearing, you refer to them as the left 6th arch and left dorsal aorta. Tiny point, but thought you should know!
    Well done again!

I wanted to say personally thank you for this video. Compared to my medical school professor you took at the very least an hours worth of lecture and more completely taught me the aortic arches in 19 minutes. absolutely fantastic. Thank you again

It is like I’ve first learned words, and now discovered an alphabet for myself as in medschool I’ve underestimated the importance of embryology and chose to focus on gross anatomy instead, now I see how easily it would have been for me to study if I saw this wonderful and enlightening video earlier! Thank you very much!!!

This is amazing! Thank you for the time and effort you put into explaining in important detail the complex process. The illustrations were particularly helpful, especially the side views to understand more of the 3D developmental changes. I'm a cardiac sonographer studying for my board exams and this was very helpful. I'll definitely be looking for more of your videos and browse what others you have created.

I am just curious. I have been told I have a variant aortic arch anatomy where my innominate artery and left common carotid artery share a common origin. What happened in my development that was different than the usual to create the aortic arch? Thanks for your time! Great presentation by the way! Very easy for me to understand and I am just a layman.
