Anyways...do you think turning bottle cap rejection up on the legend will hurt your finds on that beach? btw, the beads are from their annual mardi gras parades, big deal down there.
Yes I don't ever use bottle cap rejection. Now I do sometimes raise the iron filter up a little more. I like to hear the iron, but I want to hear it break up too. I was really wanting to test the update. Can't really test it without digging everything lol

So I talked to the Nokta crew at Treasure fest 7 in Arkansas and they barely new anything about the 1.16 and now they come out with 1.17. What is the reason for the 1.17? Any changes that you noticed?
I did the update, But sadly My Nokta Legend wont detect a US Quarter at 8 inches in Beast Mode anymore. Something is definitely wrong with this update. It will detect it in all other multifrequency modes and in most single frequency modes. Everyone please check it out, could be that maybe Im just stupid.
I had this problem a couple times. I had to factory reset my machine a second time to get normal depth again. Might want to try factory resetting multiple times to try to get it back.

Thanks I finally got to try the new firmware on the beach. Pretty happy with how it ran. If it can run smooth in Galveston it can run anywhere lol

If you don't mind me asking, what sand scoop are you using? That scoop looks very sturdy for our Texas beaches.

1.17 is the final version 1.16 was the beta version. I did hear they did one more tweak to the final version. Think in the iron filter.

I'm with Roger first I would try a factory reset. Next make sure you are in all metal.
