I used to knock Status Quo as a three chord chancer band until I saw them play live at the tennis stadium in Dubai. They rocked my socks off and the high degree of professionalism in the playing totally changed my opinion of them. As a guitarist in a cover band, I know that the opening bars of any Quo song will fill the floor - except In The Army Now - and that gets them singing along.

I love at 0:30 when Rick doesn't sing along to the recording "But Janie is the girl that I'll be with tonight".. he says a different name, which gets a reaction outta Francis. I wonder if it was a slip up or an intentional joke between the two of em 😂

they began to hate each other at this time in their career. Played their last live show with that line up around this time, for years. (Except the famous 85 live aid appearence) .... but they hide that disparation here :-)
