Good choices! I have a different album of Arghoslent's named "Galloping Through the Battle Ruins" and it's very powerful and showcases some of the best production in the genre. A recommendation, unfortunately unavailable in vinyl for some very mysterious reason, is Virgin Black. They're like a well that never runs dry to me personally. I've never encountered a band whose entire discography of five albums (that many I mean) has not a second of filler included. Every second of every disc just draws you in and won't let go easily. They're heavily classical/symphonic especially the last album is nothing else and that may be their biggest shortcoming for some. But to me it all fits together and makes an epic and deep story of five discs.

Arghoslent is one of the best death metal bands in existence but sadly do not get much recognition because of blacklisting/racial lyrics. Their guitarist is exceptionally talented. He is also the guitarist/founding member of Grand Belial’s Key

absu - tara. one of the best fucking releases of all time. drumming on this album is fucking mind blowing. you can tell that the dude was profusely sweating his ass off
In my opinion the violins used by Coldworld take away from the experience in most cases. I prefer Suici. De. Pression by Thy Light and Bloody Melancholy by Life is Pain as far as DSBM goes. As far as 10/10 albums go...1. Terroristic Onslaught of Humanicidal Chaos: Goatpenis & Nyogthaeblisz split2. Venereal Dawn: Dark Fortress 3. The Voice of Steel: Nokturnal Mortem4. Battlefields: Hate Forest 5. Burning Britain: Chaos UK6. Sonoran Deprivation: GatecreeperI get how Chaos UK is a punk band not metal but when we have Wyatt name dropping post rock and noise so it is what it is. Why are two of my 10/10's Ukrainian NSBM? I don't know. Also this is not to say that these are strictly my favorites, three of my favorite albums are far from perfect and I freely admit it. Those would be:1. Angelus Exuro Pro Eternus: Dark Funeral 2. Serpent Sermon: Marduk3. An Overdose of Death: Toxic HolocaustAlso to anyone reading this, sorry about the mass of unformatted text, I wrote it in very orderly fashion but my computer is being gay. If the occasion seems right I might make a response video but probably not since I only have a physical copy of two of the albums listed above.
have you listened to all of *****slent's albums? Metallum gets it wrong, though I may be biased becuase for a long time Incorrigible was my first and only A. album. In any case I consider it the best, contrary to metallum. I also consider Galloping their 2nd best, and Hornets their worst full length release
10 off the top of my head. Every other list is invalid and beta. Burzum - Filosofem. Blut Aus Nord - MORT. Deathspell Omega - Kenose. Esoteric - The Pernicious Enigma. The Joe Rogan Experience - #1255 Alex Jones Returns! Lurker Of Chalice. Lykathea Aflame - Elvenefris. Murmuüre. Swans - Soundtracks For The Blind. Type O Negative - Pick any 90's output. What's good and bad in music is subjective and there are few great albums here but overall this list seems uninteresting (with a bunch of albums from last few years) and is full of music targeted at a very narrow niche of fans and even though your subscribers probably are underground I doubt many will discover anything they really like. Look at your viewers' lists below - they seem much more inspiring... Will check some of the albums u mentioned, though.
haha, bit of a late response, but leaving this here mainly so i can check back in a few years and see how greatly my opinions have changed. After the Burial - Rareform Yeah, starting with a very popular choice. This was the album that truly got me interested in metal a few years ago. I know deathcore has a bad reputation, but I truly believe that this album is close to perfect. The songs are busy, the guitar tones are flawless, the drums are quick and compliment the rest of the instruments nicely... it's just an incredibly fun listen, and I feel like I have to include it on my list mainly because it's what I owe my interest in metal to in the first place. Gojira - Flying Whales Yet another very popular choice. I don't think I need to explain this one much. It's quite good. Mental Cruelty - Zweilicht So if Rareform got me into metalcore/deathcore, Zweilicht got me into black metal. There is not one bad thing about this album. It's got the classic wacky vocals of deathcore and the musical elements of black metal - It's more "deathened black metal" than anything else. I only found Mental Cruelty around the time Symphony released, which is really not that long ago. In that time Zweilicht has become one of my favorite albums, as it has everything I like about deathcore and none of the "bad" stuff. The black metal implementation is also very good. I owe a lot of my appreciation for black metal to this album. Grima - Frostbitten (Near) perfect black metal. I'm sure that within a week or two, the world will spite me for saying that by introducing me to better albums, but Grima's Frostbitten defines exactly what I enjoy in black metal. Soaring and epic riffs, enjoyable drums, howling vocals, perfect atmosphere. I've only been listening to black metal for around two months, so I haven't had the chance to listen to a whole lot, and the list of bands I have to listen to is so long that I haven't gotten around to much black metal, but Frostbitten is (so far) the best black metal I have heard, one artist excluded. Cabal - Magno Interitus I'm struggling to really say what genre Cabal's music fits into, so I won't bother. It's deathcore-ey, slightly. Magno Interitus is the album I put on if I want intensity. Everything about the album is heavy. The guitar tone is so downtuned and they're played in such a way that makes the guitar kind of sound like it's an extension of the percussion (which is also very good), and creates a very... claustrophobic(?) atmosphere. I know there's much heavier music out there, but this album hits me in such a way that allows me to marvel at the intensity of the sound while still thoroughly enjoying the music, a novelty that's kind of lost to me for some of the more extreme stuff. That's just because my taste hasn't developed enough yet - I've only been into "extreme" metal for a few months, after all - so I'm sure the sensation will extend to other albums as well, but at least for now this one is a very solid 10/10 for me. (Just to be clear, I'm not saying Cabal is extreme metal. I don’t really know what counts as extreme anyway tbh) The Ruins of Beverast - Exuvia This album is such an incredibly interesting experience. It's definitely more than a little weird. Others have already explained why this album is as great as it is, and I don't believe I have much to add to the conversation. It's a little dissonant, with some interesting chants and such that kind of remind me of Blut Aus Nord's most recent album. It's just a sound I haven't heard much of from other bands, and it's executed very well in this one. It's also got one of my current favorite black metal songs in general, Surtur Babaar Maritime. Despite Exile - Disperse Another deathcore/metalcore album, lol. This is one of my favorite albums of all time. Despite Exile is criminally underrated (I hate this term, but I'm too lazy to find an alternative). This album, along with almost all of their other ones, are incredibly fun to listen to. No, they don't reinvent the genre or anything, but you don't have to revolutionize to be great. Despite Exile has essentially perfected the standard sound of deathcore (without the sometimes annoying breakdowns), at least in my opinion. I don't really have much else to add (clearly I'm not very good at reviews, I write a couple sentences and then run out of stuff to say lol), they are just incredibly good at their craft. Highly recommend at least listening to the last two songs on this album. Mephorash - Shem Ha Mephorash I've only listened to this album a handful of times, but I can only remember one thing I specifically disliked about it. Sanguinem is a fantastic black metal song, and the rest of the album isn't much worse. The only thing about this album I could say is genuinely not good is this one random and weird break towards the end of the first song that is just not pleasant to listen to, but I wouldn't say it drags the rest of the album down below a perfect ten. Not a perfect album because of that alone, but It's close enough that I would feel like I was slighting it if I gave it anything lower. I dunno, I'm a little conflicted about adding this on here. I think I just really like Sanguinem lmao Saor - Guardians (NOT the remaster, which removes at least a few vocal lines!!) This is my favorite album of all time. No matter how many times I listen to this album, I always manage to find something completely new within it, be it a hushed vocal line in the far left earcup or a fuzzy bassline in the bottom of the soundscape. Hearth is my personal favorite song in any genre. Listening to Hearth with openback headphones is a cathartic experience, lol. There's always so much going on, and listening to it (the album) has never gotten old. While I don't really love the vocal work on this album, quite literally everything else is, in my opinion, written and performed to perfection. The lyrics are also quite pleasant. Normally I wouldn't bring up lyrics because they don't really affect the music, but if they're exceptional in some way I will, and Saor's lyrics are all just genuinely pretty poems. It's very nice. But yeah, this album was by far the easiest 10/10. I cannot recommend it enough. Actual, genuine perfection. (lol its only been a few hours and I already realized that I accidentally left one off of here so I'll go ahead and slide it in. Inpariquipê by Kaatayra is another easy 10/10. No bad parts from any of the songs, just a very interesting sound. I believe this would be categorized as atmospheric post black metal? In any case, it's very good, and I very highly recommend this album along with the rest of this one-man-band's projects.) A few honorable mentions: Orbit Culture - Descent (Melodic death? I think? Idk) Spire of Lazarus - Soaked in the Sands (Technical deathcore) Belzebubs - Pantheon of the Nightshade Gods (Black) Hermodr - Forest Sky (Black) Bell Witch - Mirror Reaper (Funeral Doom) Blackbraid - Blackbraid II (Black) (grats on 40k btw, deserved asf)

Well, my list it's so 2016 but I loved the past year and they're the that I thought.
Your Anaal Nathrakh In the constellation of the black widow vinyl gets you points with me son. Excellent choice.
That's some great picks, Wyatt! I'm super excited to check them all out.

Arghoslent is one of the best death metal bands in existence but sadly do not get much recognition because of blacklisting/racial lyrics. Their guitarist is exceptionally talented. He is also the guitarist/founding member of Grand Belial’s Key
Yeah, so sad that Nazi music doesn't get much recognition.
It’s okay because it’s out there for us the real bm/dm fans who appreciate it. The lyrics weed out the people who shouldn’t even be in the scene
Yay to the metal, nay to the goddamn racism.
Dude, you give some great suggestions! Awesome.
Two other great post-black metal bands are Skagos (specifically their album, "Anarchic) and the band Arbor from Wisconsin. You may dig Skagos because of their sometimes experimental nature

Are these your only 10/10 albums or is this like "part 1" or something like that?
ive always looked at France for great depressive music. everybody al obsessed with the mutiilation junkies. people sleep on desolation triumphalis. criminally underrated.
I just got that Coldworld on vinyl too.
Thankyou for putting me on to some brilliant music bro. To return the favour my 10 outa ten album that i think might interest you is The Dirty Threes first album which is self titled. Not metal . Instrumemental with the odd scream of human anguish and pain. Drums, guitar and voilin. Check out their song "everything is fu#ked> and Ireckon it will move you. Onya mate
Just arrived in this video today, see schammasch in the list is so fucking amazing, i toured with them back in 2016, i was playing drums for mystifier and saw the band playing for 27 days straight!!!
absu - tara. one of the best fucking releases of all time. drumming on this album is fucking mind blowing. you can tell that the dude was profusely sweating his ass off
Lantlos is one of my favorite records as well.
What about Reign Supreme?
In my opinion the violins used by Coldworld take away from the experience in most cases. I prefer Suici. De. Pression by Thy Light and Bloody Melancholy by Life is Pain as far as DSBM goes. As far as 10/10 albums go...1. Terroristic Onslaught of Humanicidal Chaos: Goatpenis & Nyogthaeblisz split2. Venereal Dawn: Dark Fortress
16:52-17:01 For some reason, I got chills when he said that
10 off the top of my head. Every other list is invalid and beta.

Of the top of my head, my 10/10 arE Dopesmoker by Sleep and The Mantel from Agalloch
Whyatt, by disabling the manifestation of likes and dislikes, thou dost reveal a paucity of faith in thine own perception and judgment.
After the Burial - Rareform
Yeah, starting with a very popular choice.
Gojira - Flying Whales
Yet another very popular choice. I don't think I need to explain this one much. It's quite good.
Mental Cruelty - Zweilicht
So if Rareform got me into metalcore/deathcore, Zweilicht got me into black metal.
Grima - Frostbitten
(Near) perfect black metal.
Cabal - Magno Interitus
I'm struggling to really say what genre Cabal's music fits into, so I won't bother. I don’t really know what counts as extreme anyway tbh)
The Ruins of Beverast - Exuvia
This album is such an incredibly interesting experience.
Despite Exile - Disperse
Another deathcore/metalcore album, lol.
Mephorash - Shem Ha Mephorash
I've only listened to this album a handful of times, but I can only remember one thing I specifically disliked about it. I think I just really like Sanguinem lmao
Saor - Guardians (NOT the remaster, which removes at least a few vocal lines!!)
This is my favorite album of all time.
In any case, it's very good, and I very highly recommend this album along with the rest of this one-man-band's projects.)
A few honorable mentions:
Orbit Culture - Descent (Melodic death? I think? Idk)
Spire of Lazarus - Soaked in the Sands (Technical deathcore)
Belzebubs - Pantheon of the Nightshade Gods (Black)
Hermodr - Forest Sky (Black)
Bell Witch - Mirror Reaper (Funeral Doom)
Blackbraid - Blackbraid II (Black)
(grats on 40k btw, deserved asf)
Dey got dat sepiatone rascism.
Hilarious thumbnail
