Love my AW200SE's. I own two and they are performing well thus far. I was unaware that their was an AW200 model and now that I saw this video I am wondering which light is the best choice. Are the 200's better than the 200SE's?
The AW200 was released later than the AW200SE, and it features the Samsung LM301B diodes.💡Also, AW200's spectrum is adjustable, however, AW200SE's is not.
They didn't want to point out the difference because they didn't want to make one seem "negative" but from what I can see the diodes in the aw2000 are better, since no other information was given I'm guessing that's the difference.
The SE is priced as the more economical version and has 2835 diodes instead of the LM301B diodes. The SE has over 200 more diodes but doesn't have the few 390nm and 450nm diodes that the other one has. The SE doesn't have a large heatsink design but the flaps are fuller. The SE actually gives out more PAR and covers slightly more of an area since it has so many more diodes which makes the other pricier version inferior IMHO. The fans are kind of pointless unless you have a lot of space since it just ends up blowing hot air from the light onto the plants, so they should be reversible so you can direct the hot air to the exhaust fan. It's probably best to just get light bars for more uniform coverage.
This light has poor output for the wattage drawn and horrible uniformity. You basically have a 1.5’ x 2.5’ footprint output that’s decent for plants and the rest is too weak for proper photosynthesis ( assuming Vivosun isn’t lying on their par graphs which in my experience most companies do). You want to be at 500 par and above across the entire footprint. You would need 2 of these lights to flower out a 2x4 tent properly and at over 400 watts the efficacy is low. Much better options out there for the price.

Kind if puzzling why they decided to do the cut corners especially when this light is specifically for a 4x2. The 8 diodes that can fit in the corner cutout would've made a difference.

Is the power on the Se's adjustable ?
For example: 30% , 50% , 70% etc.
@@nickh-mann2423 Yes...Fully adjustable. Great light indeed.
Nice
So what’s the differences? 🤣
