Like many others, I use this to read. 1bpm for complex material, 2 or 3bpm for less dense works. Always taking at least one line of notes per page (what's the most important idea on this page). My study has greatly improved with just this simple method, so thank you.
I know that band. Do you like 'em? For me, their stuff is partiailly a too slow. I like the old stuff the Melvins, though, which is often also quite slow.

using the microwave i've become well versed at this tempo
The microwave is a mediocre tool in terms of heating food evenly, but a great tool for practicing music.
