Music seems to be in some time period. in people 's minds. just in society. Its just alive today and relevant today as it was in the time it was made. the bible was written over 2 thousand years ago.

@Jay Royce I know I recently repented of my blasphemies and persecution of the Christian faith., I started praying to Christ for forgiveness and mercy, and a redirection of the intents of my heart and mind. I believe he's working in my life as we speak. Nearly 20 years of denying that Christ even existed as a human being has turned into daily prayer to that very person.
The reason you feel that way is because the Holy Spirit is trying to tell you something the end is very near and God wants his people close to him or they won't make it after the eclipse

We have belief and hope that there is life after this one. The worst that could happen is that there is no God, and that nothing happens. The worst that could happen for those who don't believe is that there is God.
This song and video blew me away! This reads like a psalm. The video seems to be a metaphor for the desolate waste and darkness that consumes our world, and the darkness of the souls of the lost. But God's "Consuming Fire" can awaken our spirits, bringing us light and life in abundance, and burn away the corruptness of the world that we've stored within. He burns it away like wood over an intense flame.

Betty, I never get tired of 3rd day, especially when , Mac , during one of the concerts told the audience to pray, that the concert wasn't about 3rd day, or he himself, but the whole thing is to lift up Jesus and draw close to our God, Jesus Christ the righteous King. I love the way Mac's voice matured into the voice that God had already planned for it to be. The biggest and most important thing to occur was when Mac had conviction enough to not sell out to the music glorifying the world,or in other words Mac resisted the enemy, ( Satan).

not trying to get into religious battle with you but even Jesus in the text that he wrote if you have a Bible it's in red lettering Jesus said not to worship me stand up he wanted you to worship God first he was just an instrument of voice the hand of God he was there to touch people's souls in the teach them that there's something greater than us oh how he is greater than oh how much greater he is in a that's why it says our Father who out in heaven hallowed be thy name.

We should be His vessel to have the consuming fire. I prayed at the age of 18 for many years to be God's vessel. Ezekiel chapter 3 talks about the spirit entered into him. He received God's spirit. I recently accepted Jesus. I am a rock and roller. I wondered if I could replace all my worldly music with Christian rock. Third day is one of the bands I have listened to, being Christian rock. wow! rock n roll with a message about Jesus. this is very good music . I remember listening to this tape over and over and over while we painted the inside of our home 20 years ago. MId-90s was a great time for contemporary Christian music: Supertones, Jars of Clay, INsyderz, Magnified Plaid, Five Iron Frenzy all still worth listening to to-day.

But, it is important to realize that it is not our works that save people, it is the grace of God. We shouldn't try to do good works out of our own effort, but we need to allow God to flow through us.

Brings back so many memories! I don’t identify as Christian now and haven’t for over 2 decades but this band was so good. That voice is still AMAZING
I hope you find your way back... I did, and if you had my experience of finding and going back to church, you would run back.. I never went and did the work and found a church after I graduated, 17 years later (last Nov.), I joined a church for myself and family. I am now shadowing to be a youth minister, I play the drums for the band during service (our drummer unexpectedly passed away 2 weeks after I joined the band as a backup.... And that's just 1 TINY bit of the proof I've been shown that I did the right thing. All roads led to Rome as it were. My stepson is behaving better than ever before and getting significantly better grades, after years of struggle. Again, just since November. There are about another half a dozen 'coincidences' that led us into this church specifically. To the point where it is no coincidence at all.. The other drummer was 59 and in great shape. I'm 36.. Our congregation has about 100 people, and the only other person who has died, was named Charlie, I met him 1 night to help take care after he had a back surgery. I offered as a backup because I had a feeling someone would have to cancel, sure enough the next night the pastor had a cold and I took his place.. I met Charlie and his wife who has memory problems and visited for a couple hours, then I helped with meds and bathroom trips at night. Nothing big, but they were just like my grandparents, and they were the most kind people... I was touched by them, and Charlie died a few weeks later after a series of medical downturns.. I went to the funeral last Saturday, and I was touched by him and his wife in that short time.
God moves, you just got to get out of your own way and submit. Most of us fail, or feel like failures, because we try to do it on our own. It's by God's grace we are saved, not anything we do ourselves, apart from make the genuine choice and step in faith.

Yep, my God ( The God of the Bible) is a Consuming Fire, destroying the disobedient forever! He pleads with them to repent but if they don't turn from loving evil rather than loving Him and people, He has to put them away forever. Only Jesus saves!

Yes, God is a cosuming fire. It says it in the Bible. I like the way the band played this in all of that mess, to get the ppl's attention. I guess they figured, some ppl wanted to see the artists', so they would have to perform out there too-maybe the creativity of the video alone wouldn't be enough. It is wonderful how God has raised and is raising up leaders to bring in the harvest, b4 it is too late.
