Anthony Campos I got the chance to meet him when he was invited to my home country to the Puerto Rico Comic Con as a special guest star a few years ago. He was one of the nicest and coolest people that I have ever met in my life. I felt honored in meeting him in person.

I was nine years old when this show was re broadcasted on the Hub Network and when I started watching it before I went to school I instantly fell in love with it. It's a show that I would continue to watch forever and ever will it snow the steam song it's battle scenes it's stories and teachings of right and wrong. I am a big Kevin Sorbo fan I love him in Andromeda and I love him in Hercules.
@@CurlyFromTheSwirly The only thing with that is Hercules was never cancelled. It ran its full course. In the last episode, Hercules initially decides to retire and settle down someplace. Then 5 minutes after settling down, he gets restless and hits the road again. So the show ends with him and Iolus heading off to some other land to help someone in need.
@@captainpharaoh, I know the show & what happened well, as it is my favorite. I thought the ending was good, I liked how they joked about Herc retiring. I just wish they had done more episodes. (When Highlander ended & Adrian Paul was gone, they filmed one episode without him, FYI, for the 6th season.) The show wasn't technically canceled. That actually refers to the network deciding not to continue it. The TV network had no issues with it. Buy from a fan perspective it feels the same. It oddly was the actual studio that produced it that didn't want to continue it. I understand Sorbo did not want to a 5 year contract continuation. I don't want to blame him for this. I understand actors want to do different things. The studio knew he didn't want to do 5 years & played reverse psychology hardball. Thus we the fans lost out. Talbert says the Xena people felt Herc got the better ending. I don't think either was bad. I think Xena got a great ending for who she was. I would have done a few things differently for the Herc ending though. Looking back at it, they should have brought his family back to life. But I was simply making a joke about the music.
One of my fondest memories was watching this as a kid. So when my highschool band teacher used this for the annual Graduation music, I had the pleasure of playing my favorite tv series theme music. Good times. 😁

OMG! I remember this show. It was one of the most epic shows I ever watched and... ... oh man how I wish they'd bring this sort of live shows back. The intro alone hooked me into this so badly. ... I should rewatch this show along with Tarzan: Lord of the Jungle (I think that was the name) show that aired around the time I believe. Edit: The Tarzan live show I was talking about is named Tarzan: The Epic Adventures which lasted only 22 episodes. ... Strange, because I remembered there were way more. Also as of this moment, I didn't find any good version of the intro here in RUclips.
I always have to laugh when I hear this now, I am seeing in my head the episode where the guys from the show were doing a parody of the directors and producers, standing in a line at the studio urinal and humming this tune all together. The episode is called "Yes, Virginia. There is a Hercules" and it was hilarious.
I am only a teenager and every time I hear that first second of the song I run into the living room and trip on the dog and then watch the show I love Hercules The Legendary Journeys I just wish there was just four more season because 6 is just not enough
This theme bares great great similarities to the main theme of Robin Hood: Prince of thieves( same theme Disney stole years later to make it their main jingle)
Ah, memories. It was a bit cheesy, but ultimately still a great rendition of the myths. It’s a real shame they don’t make good historical/ mythic inspired adventure shows like this anymore. Now we just get political crap up to the eyeballs.
I had to listen to this and the Battlestar Galactica 1978 theme and they are strikingly similar in theme. Man the nostalgia is real in these themes; they go even better with Dungeons and Dragons
I wish they would release all five movies and the complete series of Hercules the legendary journeys digitally for purchase on iTunes. They already released Xena for purchase on iTunes. If it wasn’t for Hercules there wouldn’t be Xena.

Not a fan of Sorbo personally, but this was his role. For what they went for, he IS Hercules.
I actually got his autograph at a con several years ago. Very accommodating guy, and he seemed to appreciate how many people came out to see him.
