Alleged Intruder’s Dad Visits California Home to Apologize for His Daughter

- Surveillance footage captured the disturbing moment a woman allegedly tried breaking into the California home of retired police officer Christina Paul in a scene described as something out of ‘The Walking Dead.’ In an odd twist to the story, Paul said a police chaplain later arrived at her door. He introduced himself as the alleged intruder’s father, she said. "Immediately I screamed, 'No!' and I said, 'You shouldn’t be here,'" Paul said. She said she called police to complain. #InsideEdition
The intruder seems more confused than the homeowner. It's like she has no idea why she was breaking into that house...

That’s because some mental illnesses take over the brain and body it’s an an excuse and more of an answer if someone is hallucinating or more it’s uncontrollable
Yes the clip said she was charged being under the influence of alcohol or drugs and damaging properties, not due to mental illness.
She's obviously on drugs. Mental health my ass lol
This comment is funny. She was wasted on drugs not mentally ill. The cop out strikes again. The problem is more that people always look to excuse their bad actions instead of owning up to them. Mental illness is supposed to be a reason, not an excuse.

For those questioning as to why it's bad for the cop dad to be there even though the intention was to apologize: it could be a form of intimidation. The former cop/victim is correct; he shouldnt be there. If he wants to make amends for what his daughter has done, do it at proper venues.

Yeah, i was wondering that. I thought maybe the father went to apologize and because they the lady didnt even let him talk he is now being looked at as the bad guy or something like that. Or maybe someone does actually have info of what the dad wanted to do when he went to visit the lady?
Right
@@Tarlyne it's in the title, he sent to apologise. Probs the title got changed
The homeowner clearly said the intruder's dad went to visit her. She's not obligated to open the door and speak with him even if it was to apologize for his daughter's erratic behavior. He used private information he has accessed to visit a woman who is traumatized and was about to shot someone in self defense. Nothing wrong with the father coming to apologize. If that was my kid I would for sure try to pay for the window and do whatever I could to make the situation right. Shouldn't punish him for trying.
I think he's there more than to apologize. Likely he's probably going to pressure her to drop the charges in a very passive aggressive way and he's pretty much being insensitive on one being traumatized after what happen.

The homeowner is an ex cop. She would know protocol. Apparently, it is inappropriate for the family and friends of the perpetrator to approach the victim. There’s always the possibility of intimidation or retaliation, and since the perpetrator’s father is a cop, he should know that. The homeowner was probably afraid of him trying to intimidate her into dropping the charges.
They gave us like zero information.
I understand charging the woman and I definitely understand why the home owner was afraid but to slam the door on the Chaplin for coming to apologize for his daughter's actions seem pathetic to me. Not long ago this was considered the right thing to do.
he should have done it in plainclothes how is it at all necessary to go uniformed

They know you don’t know this, that’s why they bother to tell you that he’s a police chaplain cus you’ll assume it just means he’s an LEO which would make his actions inappropriate. @Loks Out He was there to convince her not to press charges, kind of inappropriate and also very illegal especially from a police officer.
@Loks Out Common sense? he's not being investigated because he was there to just apologize. He's also a police officer so there's obviously a bit more to it than that.
@Loks Out Curious what your evidence is that the dad wanted to apologize, you did call the victim "bitchy" after all. So you must have some evidence to back up your first claim?

@@SinisterzSanctuary well the homeowner wasn’t answering, you’d probably do the same thing if a murderer or someone was chasing you. Or would you just wait there patiently like “Ok ma’am.....take your time.....ahem...any second now...you in there? No? Ok I’ll wait.” If yes then you’d already be dead by now lmao
