Shopping Eldorado is a Brazilian shopping center opened in 1981,located in the west of the city of São Paulo, on the edge of Marginal Pinheiros, on the corner with Avenida Rebouças. The mall belongs to the former shareholders of the extinct Hipermercado Eldorado, sold to Carrefour in 1997. Since 2008, Eldorado has been managed by Ancar Ivanhoe. According to Fauze Mattar, this is one of the fifteen largest malls in Brazil by gross leasable area, occupying the twelfth place in 2010, with 73,800 m². It reached its peak in the 1980s. but it wore thin, in part due to family disputes over its controlling interest, over the next decade. Subsequently, it received new attractions, such as Academia Formula and Parque da Mônica - the latter closed in the first half of 2010. Afterwards when? it underwent an update, which promoted a deep expansion in its basements (mainly because of the vacant space left by the amusement park, which occupied three floors of the mall) and received new stores of established brands to be able to be characterized, even more, as a mall aimed at the upper middle classes of the region.[citation needed] It is one of the largest shopping centers in São Paulo, with more than 150 thousand m² of built area, with three floors and two basements. It is located a few meters from Estação Hebraica-Rebouças, on Line 9 of CPTM, and from Faria Lima Station, on Line 4 of ViaQuatro.

Impossível não me lembrar imediatamente das cenas gravadas no saguão principal, em frente às escadas rolantes, para "Guerra dos Sexos". Que saudades de 1983! O Eldorado, na época, ainda era recente e sua estrutura toda espelhada por dentro, a arquitetura diferenciada, destacava-se como o shopping center mais moderno do país. Eu era criança e ficava fascinado com as cenas da novela gravadas lá. Anos mais tarde, ingressei na USP e todo dia a linha de ônibus Butantã-USP parava no ponto em frente: pela janela do coletivo eu tinha a impressão de que veria o logotipo das lojas Charlô's na fachada...

There was a dance club on the third floor of this mall called Show Days Sallon. I used to go there when i was young. I have good memories from there. Thanks for posting the video
