now thats what a freaking derby is supposed to be ! my name is mark terry, and i ran in derbys when we ran wagons and 74 -76 gm sedans. it`s changed so much since then, but this is what i remember ! hell yeah !!
This was a $20,000 to win show, If you had a GM roundback wagon and a lucky heat, you may been just lucky enough to get in the feature... Furthermore you had to work your way through the feature as well... Over 100 Old Iron cars were mostly trashed beyond recognition in the heats for the most part.....Had a blast!!
Dwight Eisenhower I noticed that a lot of the cars have the same type chrome wheels do you know what they sre and is this an advantage are they a stronger wheel
These are rims off of mazda and mitzsubishi pickups.... They have different centers welded in, they are strong and make you look cooler than you really are...I think..lol

Some of these cars appeared on "Honest Sam's Second Hand Car Site" here in England. Described as: 1 careful owner, low mileage. in excellent condition with a 5 minute guarantee. I get a real kick out of watching these guys who are excellent drivers and....courageous, Regards to USA. Ronald Strange.
I had a friend once that was leaning over a battery with a cig in his mouth, it was right before our derby started, it blew up in his face. luckily he was ok after a good wash out.
you'll never really know till you try this yourself it's fun as hell costs a lot of money and a lot of time and a lot of luck but through some tricks to the trade and the guys that know the most from being around this the seniority man usually rises to the top you guys are awesome keep up the good work

1:14:38 officials are lucky they didn't get hurt standing on the concrete blocks as the car got mashed into it. About every demolition derby video I watch there usually jumping off to get out of the way or trying to move. Why can't yall get somewhere safer. There has to be another way, every official that does this is such a liability ontop of those in the demolition derby already.
