Even though most of the resources teach you Sinhala, some might give you the translation in written form. And that's not how we speak!
What I teach is, the spoken Sinhala that people use when they speak in day to day life.

You can say something like "mama agaya karanawa oyage udawwa" (I appreciate you help)
But this depends on what you're talking about. it might sound too formal and unnatural in some situations.

How to say plane and stamps in Sinhala
Plane- ගුවන් යානය (guvan yaanaya) *but we don't use that word in casual conversations. We use it for like formal speeches. For a casual conversation you can just use the english word "plane".
Stamps- මුද්දර (muddara) "d" gives a "the" sound to pronounce this.

Your words are advance and it's in mostly written Sinhala words. It sounds too complicated and even though the words are correct, The meaning of your sentence is "Did the god came from heaven to give first ancestors the punishment of hunger?"

thank you so much, it's a very nice way to learn. But why is (you) and (to) like this? Is it because there are no words for it in sinhala, or is it because you say: 'i want drink' instead of 'i want to drink'?
The translation is I want to drink. But it's about grammar.
When the subject / object is obvious, you don't have to say them and they are implied. and I the word 'to' is actually included in the word (I should't have put it inside brackets)

It has to be අද මම මේක හොඳින් මම බැලුවා /බලාගෙන හිටියා. Ada mama meaka hodin baluwa/ balaagena hitiya.
ළිඳ (Linda) means a deep hole that is dug in the ground to provide a supply of water. It's the same word in English :D
