  • On Tuesday 4th June 2024, we visited Ordsall Hall in Salford. We were lucky enough to have a quick chat with Sarah (who works at the venue) about the history of the building, ghosts, and the best parts of Ordsall Hall.
We saw portraits of various owners from over the years, dating as far back as 1300! We also discovered old artifacts and got to see the building’s beautiful architecture.
Whilst looking around, we got to see the kitchen, old bedrooms, and the massive dining room showing a feast. We also found out that people used to put live birds into pies, and try to catch the birds when they flew out of the pie! How bizarre!
This was a great experience to see all the amazing history the house has to offer, including a few ghost stories too!
We loved chatting to staff member Sarah (who was wearing a Tudor dress), to learn even more about the rich history, what she likes about working there, and even tell us all about her own ghost encounters!
We strongly recommend a visit to Ordsall Hall with family, friends or with your school. Fun and educational at the same time!
