Willie Andrews he had a freestyle at ‘Live at the BBQ’ in ‘91 and that’s same freestyle is on ‘Breaking Atoms’ album with Large Professor and other guys.

It truly is fantastic from the opening beat to the end .
It's a gem.
Nas is the GREATEST... and though "Illmatic" will forever remain a treasure for its lyrical prominence, Nas really stepped it up with "Life Is Good". So many compare the 2 classics, there really isn't a comparison... the maturity of a 38-year old thrashes that of 20-year old. Not to mention, that same lyrical fountain that poured out in 94' is pourin out in 2012.

nas is a dude whose really loved by his fans. a great man that i look up to as a mentor and a genius. he writes about life and how it really is, not outrageous conspiracy horse shit like common and immortal tech

I love pac Em and Game, but man you have to admit that Nas is better than all of them.
Eminem is a little bit too overrated. he had some really good albums but he also had very bad ones.
Game actually never disappointed me, i like everything he does, but he still can't do it like nas.
pac is a legend, but really man his rapping skills weren't that good.

2. 2Pac
3. Game/Eminem
I think Illmatic is still the best lyrical hip hop album I've ever heard, so aside from all the songs having brilliant beats ..that's one reason people still talk about it

9 songs? Thats an EP with 3 bouns tracks. Don't get me wrong it's not A bad album for the first try, but for the high end producres he had on the album, it should have been 9 times doper. In my opinion the only producers he needed was Pete Rock, Lager Professor , and Q-tip.

Though which album is illest is a matter of opinion, neither of us is right nor wrong... what is debatable however, is the concept that one is iller when they know less than what they learn 20 years afterwards. Yeah, the rawness is ill (which Nas displays a great deal of in "Life Is Good"), but now that his wisdom equals his lyrical swordsmanship, there's no way he hasn't surpassed the 'naive' stage (as you put it) of his youth.

Everybody's always talking about what's real and what's not or who's real and who's not, but if Nas were spitting the same content from 18 years ago, it wouldn't be real. Why... you may ask, well, his "Life is no longer a bi___", instead it's rather good, he made it. Of course, he can't forget where he came from, hence "A Queen's Story", "Back When", "Stay", "Cherry Wine", "Where's The Love", and even "Trust". I don't understand how "LIG" isn't his best... his MATURATION outshine "Illmatic".

Read my comment carefully, I never said that "Illmatic" wasn't ill, not only is one of the GREATEST albums of all-time, but it's also where Nas made his mark in the industry.
