    Start of the Rugby League Cup Final match between Wakefield Trinity and Wigan at Wembley stadium, London. GV. The two teams walking out onto the field, Wigan in the hooped shirts. LV. Crowd. SV. Coin is tossed. Derek Turner wins the toss for Wakefield and chooses to kick from left to right. CU. Man in crowd. LV. Eric Ashton kicks off for Wigan, zoom back to general view as players fight for the ball. Frank Collier of Wigan and Donald Vines of Wakefield throw a punch at each other but nothing comes of it. LV. Pan as Gerald Round runs up the left wing with the ball. Just before he's tackled he passes ball to Gert Coetzer who runs quite a way up field but is brought down by a defender. CU. Man in crowd. GV. Wigan attacking. SV. As Ashton for Wigan is tackled. The ball rolls free and the players juggle round trying to catch it. CU. Boy yelling. GV. Wakefield attacking down the middle. LV. As Keith Holliday is tackled and passes the ball to Malcolm Sampson who runs on and touches down between the posts for Wakefield's first try.
    CU. Man in crowd. GV. Neil Fox takes the conversion, the ball goes between the posts. GV. Crowd at half time. Score - Wigan 0, Wakefield 5. GV. Elevated, Wakefield kick off in the second half. GV. Wigan defence man catches the ball and runs up field. He is tackled and brought down. CU. Boy in crowd. GV. Wigan attacking, the ball is passed to Frank Pitchford. Pitchford runs on and goes over the line near the corner post for a try. GV. Crowd cheering. SV. Wigan man in possession, he is tackled, passes to a colleague who in turn passes the ball on. Wigan player is tackled, the ball runs loose, Fox gathers the ball and passes to Round. GV. Wakefield player tackled. He heels the ball back to Holliday who passes to Turner. Turner passes to Roger Pearman, Pearman to Coetzer, Coetzer runs with the ball evading two tackles and touches down for a try. CU. Boy cheering. GV. Fox taking the conversion kick it goes between the posts. GV. Crowd.
    GV. Wigan in possession. Wigan player brought down. CU. Man in crowd. GV. Ashton taking the penalty. The ball goes between posts. CU. Boy in crowd. GV. Wakefield attacking, Malcolm Sampson is brought down. SCU. Crowd. GV. Fox taking the penalty ball between posts. SCU. Crowd. SV. Wigan attacking. Wigan player brought down in tackle. GV. Ashton taking penalty, the ball goes between the posts. CU. Crowd. GV. Wigan in possession, David Bolton running with ball. He makes a pass which is cleverly intercepted by Harold Poynton. Poynton runs with the ball and touches down for try. GV. Fox taking the kick, the ball goes between posts. CU. Man in crowd. GV. Wigan attacking, the ball is passed to Alan Davies. He passes to Frank Carlton, Carlton runs on and touches down for a try. CU. Crowd.
    GV. Wakefield attacking, ball is passed to Coetzer. GV. Coetzer running with the ball and he touches down for at try. SCU. Crowd. GV. Wakefield attacking, Ian Brooke with the ball. He shakes off a tackle, runs on and touches down for Wakefield's final try. CU. Man in crowd. GV. Fox taking the kick. Ball between posts. CU. Boy in crowd. Final score Wakefield Trinity 25, Wigan 10. GV. Derek Turner leading his men up to the Royal box to receive the trophy from Lord Bernard Montgomery. SV. Turner being presented with trophy. SV. Turner holds the trophy aloft. GV. Pan, crowd cheering. GV. The Wakefield team doing a Lap of Honour with the cup.
