- Okay, this is the final video from Coffey`s Cliff before @JawTooth and I left for home later in the day. We have NS trains coming and going, as well as being made up into trains.
We were about to leave, then the approach signal came on for a Northbound CSX train, so we stayed for it and then left for Harriman, then home.
I still have videos to post from our time at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum to come!

I have really enjoyed your Tennessee series Scott. Some of those raw ties on that first train may have come from up near Jaw Tooth's home. I have been to the Golden Spike Tower at UP's Bailey Yard and it is pretty awesome too, but you just can't get as close to the action as you are here. So thanks for the series, really enjoyed it.
Thanks Lou. Yes, I was thinking the same thing about those ties myself. I have been to the Bailey Yard too. That Golden Spike tower is very cool, but you are a good distance away from the tracks. We went up the street and there was a small park or parking lot that was right next to the tracks where you could get some up close action there in North Platte.
My son in law is an engineer who puts trains together in that yard.

Good morning Scott. That is an excellent place to film rains about as good as Marion, Ohio, Where Simon was over the weekend. Was that the last video of your Tennessee/Georgia trip? Had you ya'll come East about 4 hours, you would have run into my house, lol. Hey, my Friend, have a great Monday, stay hydrated with the heat this week. My local weather people said by Wednesday and Thursday heat index will be 105, ouch. And highs 98. We do have another Cool Weather time coming around the 5th of September/ Suppose to be a very cool Fall this year, and into November down right cold. Cool is ok for Fall, but they are thinking of possible snowfall in November for us and you; Can you imagine Snow in November, ??? Wow??? Have a blessed Day Scott.

If I had one car load of those raw ties I could probably heat my house for 2 years. I wish I did! Scott, what's all the black stuff stuff on the east side of the CXS track? It almost looks like they had a big brush fire. Thank you! 🙂🙂

you know Scott that sign is something a city parks department would put up wonder why they'd put it up for something they don't oversee? that closest skunk line must be the yard bypass track! wonder which line those new ties are for? those marqouis energy tankers are a new one, first i've seen a propane tanker with a company logo on them other than the procor leasers!! you know the way they sit idling, i bet system wide (just the skunk road here but i'd bet cheapskate probably burns about the same!!) they burn at least 50,000 gallons of diesel and day doing that!
I couldn`t tell you which line was getting the ties. If I was to guess I would say CSX. As far as the city taking care of that spot, I think they put the sign there then walked away from it because there is a ton a garbage dumped in those trees. I agree on th idling locomotives, those big cylinders on those diesels need a lot of fuel to keep spinning! Have a great day!
@@1960gambit well they may not be looking after it but the way everything gets tagged up it's hard to believe that at least the sign isn't being took care of by somebody!
