  • Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Locations are gems in the caravaning world. Offering a pitch, water and waste disposal as a minimum they provide a place to pitch and relax.
Many also offer hard standing and electric hook up. whilst facilities vary, they allow you to enjoy the countryside in a way that allows for the very best of being in the great outdoors.
Whilst prices are considerably cheaper than larger sites, that doesn't mean you miss out as the vast network of smaller sites offer a different experience.
Joining the Caravan and Motorhome Club and using those CL sites has allowed us to visit places where we would never ordinarily go.
For Caravans, Motorhomes and Campervans, however you wish to take you life, there are CL sites waiting to be discovered.

To CL or CS every time. When we were members of both we much preferred the CL or CS network.

Being new to caravanning I’ve never used a CL. The more I’m finding out, the more appealing they seem.

They are much quieter and off a very different experience to large sites. 😍

Best CL site we have stayed on was Brayton Hall near Cockermouth, sadly now closed. It had fully serviced pitches, each pitch had a small unit which housed a toilet, washbasin and washing up sink. Overlooked a golf course and located on a working farm.

Believe there are a few CLs that have fully serviced pitches. I don't know any with en-suite facilities though. 😍

It was very good, but as I said sadly closed.

You forgot to mention the much reduced site fees over club sites.

Very true, I think this CL is half the price of some Club Sites

We live in east Lancashire and we’re looking for a nice CL about a hour drive, can you recommend a nice one with electric hook up, hard standing who accept 2 little dogs and a fussy wife.

This is the only CL we've stayed at in this area but we can recommend it. Full vlog on this site and what's local will be later in the week. We also use some private sites and adult only sites. Every site we've stayed at has been dog friendly and going by Allys fussiness, we've either been very lucky or doing her muttering to herself. It's very subjective to recommend sites. What we love could be other people's worst nightmare. There is a playlist of sites we've visited and also other vloggers you may like to check out. Caravan Nut and Lost Weekends have both done reviews of sites along the Lancashire coast.

We only ever stay on CLs and do around 100 nights every year - mainly off grid.

We've been talking about bigger leisure battery and solar but not taken the plunge to have it installed yet to go off grid

Off grid is the way to go if you like quiet sites.
      They are cheaper as well.
We generally pay between £5 and £10 per night.
