It's not about fault. The joke that they got (and you missed) was that Beth and Summer both picked requests that seem complex and difficult, but were easily accomplished, whereas Jerry picked something that seemed simple and straightforward, but which ended up spiraling out of control. Yes, that was his fault but that's not the point of the humor here.
Yeah, this episode doesn't get less disturbing on rewatch. But it does show that Rick doesn't want actual bad things to happen Morty. Like things he can't just fix like he did the broken legs. Yeah. Weird topic, moving on.
I don't comment too often, but I had to say, I'd put you guys in the top 20% of reactors right now. Energy's high and positive, show selection's top notch, commentary's great, and best of all, y'all get the jokes. There are quite a few reactors who don't, and it can get a lil' depressing. lol I think success on RUclips depends on the personality/group chemistry most of all (not counting the algorithm), and I think you guys got the right stuff for it. As I'm making my way through these videos, this was definitely an episode I was anticipating your reactions for, due to the attempted rape scene. You didn't disappoint. I REALLY respect how realistically the show treated it. Morty goes from confident to extremely distressed in a very short space of time, and tearfully begs his grandpa to just take him home (where he's safe). It makes me tear up just describing it. And of course, it was VERY cathartic/satisfying seeing Rick bring down the hammer of justice on that bean. "Good grandpa" indeed.
what got me was the fact that Rick realized so quickly what was going on and then proceeds to treat him better than he has for most of the time they’ve spent together. he truly is a Rick who cares no matter how much he pretends not to

Hey! I know it sounds annoying but I'd try to avoid playing copyright songs for the intro or outro. You're starting to grow super fast and I've seen it before where all the videos are claimed at once until the songs are removed. Songs are the easiest thing for youtube to pick up, so if you can find a good song for the intro or outro I'd recommend switching to one before you end up having to backtrack and mute the entire intro and outro for all your videos. Just a thought but don't stress!
I always thought that this episode of R&M was important when I first watched it, because it showed that Rick actually cared about Morty, when before it was rather ambiguous. I really like watching characters that give a damn about one another and the show delivers. XD The next episode (Rick Potion #9) is when I was completely sold on it. When you think about it, Summer's and Beth's are pretty simple. Summer just wants to be popular at school: Just talk all that good sh*t about her and hype her up to the point that the entire school believes she's worth all the fanfare. Simple. Beth wants to feel complete: Let her talk, let her know you have her attention, and voice your opinions, but only when she's finished talking and when you feel she needs to hear what you think. Basically let her feel respected, valued, and loved. Again, simple. Jerry wants two strokes of his golfing average: He wants someone to teach him how to do a skill that probably takes weeks/months to get right (I don't Golf so I don't know.) in a day. Not Simple.
So the thing with the wishes, conventional wisdom with genies is to be very specific in case they want to trick you. The Meseeks however, really do want to help you so the more specific you make your wish the harder it would be. Beth’s and Summer’s wishes were vague enough that there was many ways meseeks could fulfill the wishes.
