Great video! The biggest thing I noticed is when using a bipod on the composite avengers is if you put pressure on the bipod to adjust your shot it changes the point of impact by flexing the shroud/barrel ever so slightly. If the set screws are loose on the band it gets even worse with the groups tracking from side to side and up and down. Bags have solved that issue on the stock composite avengers I have. For bench accuracy I have been loving the bags. I use a sand bag with a 12x12 jack and a small rear bag with a 4x4 jack under the grip or butt which ever is more comfortable for the platform being used. The avengers are amazing once tightened up. 3 out of the 5 I have recently built have had loose set screws on the band. You can’t crank them down or you will crush the plastic ball in the hole but snug goes a long way on accuracy.
That is brilliant thinking why didn't I think of that. Yeah and especially if I wasn't consistent on the forward pressure I was putting on the bipod.. But today Tom suggested I use the bipod with the legs forward. Instead of straight up and down, and I was able to get a lot more stable. I'm pretty sure you just hit the nail on the head as to my POI issue that I had today. Hell just the bipod attached to the gun sitting on the table probably flexes the plastic.. I'm definitely going to do this over off the bags. And I'll definitely double check the fasteners. I did tighten everything up after Tom did his unboxing. But there has been several tins of pellets through it since.Just so you know I love your advice and constructive criticism. I knew something was wrong today just couldn't put my finger on it. Thank you for opening up my mind and making me see. Keep it up it's very helpful and I appreciate it.
And honestly I always shoot off bags that's just how I feel comfortable. I've never been able to get stable using a bipod. But like I said Tom made a suggestion and I thought I would give it a try.
Hey Mitch! Got the harmonic tuner for my Avenger bullpup as well. Thanks for the tip on the purchase. Really made a difference dialing it in with Jsb Exact Kings 25 cal 25.39 grain pellets. Appreciate it! Great shooting as usual.
I'm super duper happy that it worked out for you. Especially seeing how you went off my advice. You never know how they're going to work on individual platforms even if they are the same. But kudos man thank you so very much. That's what I'm here for man I want to help people as much as possible. Plus enjoy my own shooting. 😄😄😄😄😄😄💯
So this isn’t a redo of what I did last time. We’re just specifically shooting at 90 yards. The do over part I was talking about was the panning over the gun. My last video it didn’t get shown really well
Hey how's it going big dog!!! I hope all is well. Yeah I'm lucky that I've been able to shoot some of the pcps that I have recently. I definitely made out like a bandit meeting Tom. I get to shoot different PCP airguns and I have a place to shoot them because of him.
@@ofcleveland that is 100% a true statement. I am grateful to be surrounded by a handful of like-minded people. Such as yourself. I know there's a few rotten apples out there but for the most part this airgun family will go to bat for each other. Just real people. and you don't find that too often.
