Disappointment is huge for me and often leads to discouragement. I’ll be believing God for healing, feeling like my faith is growing and then I go backwards and seem to crash and burn. Ugh! 😔 My hope has been deferred so many times.

I'm in university after being out of highschool for 3 years, and God is definitely working on my unbelief right now, especially regarding my grades. Every time I hand in an assignment or take a test I leave feeling like I absolutely failed it. The other week I had an in class essay for a literature class and I left the class almost in tears because I felt I was going to fail or just barely pass. I prayed for God to give me peace, and in that moment I felt God tell me to just trust in Him. So I did. A week later I got my test back and my teacher pulled me aside and congratulated me because I got the highest grade in the class! I was absolutely stunned, but I knew it was God who did it. God continues to work on me and I haven't gotten below an A yet... if it's His will I'll continue to succeed. My unbelief definitely stems from comparing myself to other people growing up. I always had friends who were very smart (one had a 99% average in highschool), so no matter what I got I felt dumb. Anyways sorry to go off on a tangent lol, but God led me to your channel a few days ago and I love your videos. Keep up the good work!
Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief My current struggle is that I do withdraw from others. However I’ve seen it as creating boundaries to protect my peace from stagnant energy/relationships. However, I’m “double minded” about the response to withdraw
I am absolutely AMAZED that I have had the nerve, gall and outright ungrateful evil guts to ask, expect and then try to demand that God prove himself even the 1st time after what He has already demonstrated in Christ and in his love and grace and POWER that saved, freed and rescued me. Then to expect it repeatedly proven is just incomprehensible and absolutely inexcusable. Lord have mercy on me.
I´d loose the rest of my faith when I met lots of toxic and narc church people and their pastors again - in those churches and communities - now I do believe in a divine source and I don´t feel like a christian any longer - Christianity and religions made more trauma for me - could not handle that any longer. Being a spiritual being is enough for me. Thank you Mark.
It's been 2 years of praying for God to take this thorn. I had absolute belief for a long time. I can only come to the logical conclusion that I was fooling myself and it's God's will to suffer with this.
Encouraging, thankyou, our God is so good, wanting to bring beauty from ashes, you are so spot on, my unbelief was fear and trust. That was certainly due to life experiences, rejection, betrayal, death of a son in a sporting accident, and 2x murders of close family members, and heart wrenching disappointments, 5hat chipped away at my heart without me even realising it, in bringing fear, weariness, despair,ect contributing in ocd, and anorexia . However in allowing God to heal, its a process,and also letting go of the why, even though I just don't know or understand, as none of the above will seperate me from my beautiful saviour. Powerful truth about unbelief which is present in all sin. However, in addition to an "inability" to believe but unwillingness. In some cases, individuals will not even pray one of my favorite and necessary prayers "I believe, help THOU MY UNBELIEF and this also leads to disobedience and then more fear, deeper doubts, blame, confusion and resentment, bitterness, in forgiveness and misery. It's a sin and a shame indeed. Thank you!!

Than you Mark. You are brilliant at cut stag hit into the root cause of suffering. Please could you talk more about the practical steps to heal the heart on a daily basis that is manageable in this chaotic modern life? Especially in urban cities where jobs are, working people ( professionals and anyone works for others) are treading on a thin wire for our survival. How do we let God lead us to the end of our lives and still be able to keep a roof over our heads - those basic hygiene factors of life must be in place. Usually it is much easier for children to have faith because most of the parents do not leave them homeless. But in today’s world(. I have lived in the IS and UK and worked so hard for corporations all my life to be able to present this fact to you), once you reaches mid age, once you have broken your body, you are out in the cold. It’s notjust one day God doesn’t come, which you can get over it. it’s the rest of your life that has little to hope for.

I don't feel it was disappointment working against me but influences that battled against me. Now sometimes I have a hard time intellectually understanding how people deserved hell as how Jesus paid that price
We belive and enter God's rest. We are saved and yet still have our flesh in this time of vanity. After the 1000 year reign (the day we are saved), the devil is released but for a short time. Our human lives are a whisp in the wind and our time here is short. Our flesh wages war against the Spirit.
I got to this point but it scared me. Now I'm trying to walk with God again. I wonder if you were a believer and the theif begins to invade the roots of your faith are you then condemned to hell?
@@Swagu33 When I last commented I was transitioning from benzos to a mood stablizer...so it was kind of scary. I've been going to church. Sunday is now my favorite day of the week. I've also been doing exposers, and these meds I'm on are really helping. Dr said I've had a mood disorder all these years. Anyway I'm not in my head as much. I try to live in the moment and show myself some love. Thanks for asking!

I truly believe that the Body of Christ as a whole doesn't understand or receive the love of the Father.
