Mike empty the air out of the scuba bottle drill a hole through the top of the tap and thread it drill a hole in bottom and thread a wire through both connect a fitting and Edison bulb . One man cave lamp complete and sellable or swappable with you local dive shop
I donate all the bikes I find to The Orphan Grain Train, a non-profit organization that repairs bike's and gives them to needy children all over the world, I have donated 76 bikes this year, I think its better than scrapping them all! You sir are a GD LEGEND keep the amazing finds coming buddy.
Those old scuba tanks can bring a nice $ at a garage sale/online. The older the better with stickers. Used for props, decorations or drilled out for a lamp. Have my old firefighter tank...made it a holder for my helmet. Happy New Years
Just yesterday on the radio, they were talking about how the landfills are filling up faster than they should. I think what you are doing is helping. All the fellow scrappers are helping. But I think people should be leaving metal out of the green garbage containers so they can get the cords and stuff easier.
06:42 The SCUBA tank. The pre1990 6351 aluminum alloy tanks are technically legal. Some have had cracking around the valve area, and were retired. Many dive shops will not fill these tanks for safety reasons(they are afraid of the liability of the tank exploding), even though the neck cracking has been overreported . I would let the air out and leave the valve open. List it on ebay as a historical item. I understand there are dive shops and collectors of vintage SCUBA gear out there. The Jvalve on that tank is also outdated and superseded by more modern valves. 24:39 A glassware drainage rack for laboratory glassware after washing.
I found 4 old scuba tanks. Local dive shops wouldn't buy them so I sold them for scrap = cast Al. The valves are brass and easy to remove BUT you need to let all the air out first. Just open the valve and let it drain over night. You could also cut the closed end off and make a bell out of it like Roe Mantic did on his channel with some oxygen tanks.
a good skil saw with a carbide blade or a sawzall will take care of the scubu tank, my yard takes them if they are cut in half, they make cool bells too.
Happy New Year ! Mike hoping that your channel takes off this year unlike anything that you had ever imagined, also hoping that your diligent hard work bring some gr8 and valuable finds. Stay safe our wonderful RUclips friend.
So sorry for your loss Mike those paddle things were dog toys you connect them to a hosepipe the dog puts their foot on it and a jet of water sprays out
9:55 That aluminum thing with the two wires is a carrier for an external battery pack for an LTV ventilator. The batteries weren’t in it. The power supplies go to an LTV also. Those could be sold prolly. IDK if it interests you to learn what things are, but I’m happy to share knowledge.
Those old diving bottles you can polish them cut a hole in the side the same shape as the long tesla bulb and change them into lights you can do the same with the fire ones aswell.👍👍✌👊👊
so sorry about your friend man. i got myself covid. in a light form gladly. my quaratine ends on sunday. tested negative yesterday. im wishing everybody health and good condition to get along in this hard times!
Sorry for the loss of your friend 😞 and will you please stay safe the way you go jumping/digging in those hospital supply dumpsters and others!🤦🏼♀️🙏🏼❤️
Someone needs to invent a "copper and aluminum magnet" for you so you can attach it to an extension pole and stand OUTSIDE those nasty dumpsters and just swirl it around inside to drag out your stuff! I wish you could spend some more time up here in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area and see how the scavenging compares. Anyway...LOVE watching you dig for treasure(s)!
Those tanks get certified which I’m pretty sure is a internal visual inspection. If it’s been sitting around more than so much time it corrodes up and you can’t breath that stuff. Back in the day I wanted to rip it down and turn it into a picture frame or 3. Yeah, back in the day...
just took in my electrical wires that I cut off of all my scrap stuff and all the smaller wire I micro scrap from all my appliances and such. Just wiring alone and got $577.40. now busting my butt stripping all the solid core wires and breaking down all my copper pipe too #1 and #2. next I am hitting my good sized aluminum pile and separating it all out. A good payday like today gets me all motivated to hit it hard again. Bad part is I left my brand new gloves on the table when I took them off to sign the ticket pad. SCRAP ON fellow scrapers.
use the air tank the blow up balloons LOL but of course we can use it on the spaceship to increase the cabin pressure and you the oxygen for deep space LOL
That black clamshell case is a great find. Pelican brand, it looked like. Look around for some model numbers on it. Those go for some good money on ebay.
Actually I think those "foot pedals" are bottle rocket launchers. You put a 2-liter bottle on them and hook it to the hose. Push the pedal, and when the pressure builds up, you release the petal and the bottle shoots in the air under water and air pressure.
That tank is so old it’s antique. Lol. Seriously though be very careful if you plan on taking the top valve off. Even when you bleed off all the air it still has a tremendous amount of pressure. In a store I worked in many years ago, we had helium tanks. The empties were just set off to the side. One day one got knocked over and the valve hit the floor just right and got knocked off. It has so much pressure even though it was empty, that the valve blew through the wall of the store into the attached store next door. Scared us all just about to death. They told us later that if it had hit anyone it could have killed them. It’s a scary thing to mess with. Sure have been missing your videos. Stay safe and God Bless
Now you have a Air tank , you can do some deeper Dumpster diving !!!
This comment wins on this video! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Some kinda diving anyway 😉
Love the Scooby-Doo socks my favorite!!
I'm so sorry for your loss Mike. Stay safe, stay strong dude.
Always a pleasure, thanks Mike.😊😊😊
Mike empty the air out of the scuba bottle drill a hole through the top of the tap and thread it drill a hole in bottom and thread a wire through both connect a fitting and Edison bulb .
One man cave lamp complete and sellable or swappable with you local dive shop
That’s a great idea!
Mike I can't believe you left the brass fittings on the PVC pipe at first dumpster. lol

I was going to say the same.

It’s January and mike is wearing shorts....that’s it! I’m heading to Texas! I’m done with this -degree temperatures in the Midwest
What part of texas is he from
Houston southeast side looks like
Moved from CT to FL, 30 years ago.....never looked back! Don’t miss those single digits either!

That coffee pot if it works will easily bring $100-$200. That was an awesome find.
Mike, I am sorry to hear about your friend. Take care out there in the urban jungle.
Vedere come maneggi quella roba nei cassonetti mi vengono i brividi.
When a ladder brakes you are supposed to cut it up in to small sections so no one tries to use it.
Just learned something thanks have a great day.
Glad to see you are back Mike... Great vids to watch... Keep well n stay safe out there :) Mick... Portsmouth UK
That hose is great for tying up your tomato plants etc.
Scrappy scrappy Mike yall 😁
Dinner and a show yes
Finding pack of Marlboro in respitory dumpster, now that is an irony.
i thought the same thing
I saw it too. There are still a few respiratory techs and suppliers who still smoke. And a few doctors and nurses I know.
Thought exactly the same thing..😱

Okay, I laughed... You were finding oxygen supplies and there was an empty box of Marlboros. Ironic...🤷
Pretty sure those peddle things in first dumpster are for tanning your dog to step on to get water
So sorry for your loss Mike those paddle things were dog toys you connect them to a hosepipe the dog puts their foot on it and a jet of water sprays out
Hi mike. Good workout there. Take care and stay safe. 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️😎😎😎
Make an umbrella holder out of the scuba tank👍😎

IDK if it interests you to learn what things are, but I’m happy to share knowledge.
That coffee maker violated your socks. Dang it! Keep diving!
The metal rack is for drying cleaned chemistry glass. They are slipped onto the pegs for drying. I have one in our lab at work.
Those old diving bottles you can polish them cut a hole in the side the same shape as the long tesla bulb and change them into lights you can do the same with the fire ones aswell.👍👍✌👊👊
Sorry for your loss on your friend
Those foot pedal things are dog watering devices where the dog learns to step on it for a fresh drink.
Best trash pickin channel on EARTH!!!!
You can cut aluminum with a skill saw with a carbide blade, just don't try to hurry it.
Crazy, I’m 51 yrs old and I don’t think I’ve *ever* thrown away a perfectly unused zip tie. Lol
Nice night for picking up some.dumpster treasure!
so sorry about your friend man. i got myself covid. in a light form gladly. my quaratine ends on sunday. tested negative yesterday. im wishing everybody health and good condition to get along in this hard times!
The dumpster at 2100 was full of HVAC controls, all those old VMA and NAE controls are worth good cash if they work!
Sorry for the loss of your friend 😞 and will you please stay safe the way you go jumping/digging in those hospital supply dumpsters and others!🤦🏼♀️🙏🏼❤️
Pretty cool haul Mike. Stay healthy and safe buddy.
clear tubing is great for making a water level.
If you let the air out then take the top off you can scrap the scuba tank.
Shhhh you will get us busted😂😂
You should drive closer to the dumpsters.
..HAPPY SAFE NEW YEAR! AND TO YOUR FAMILY...MIKE☝❤🎅
29:26 getting some serious Liu Kang vibes and am loving it! Keep up the amazing content.

With all those braked box you find our church would be interested in buying some
That old rake is made of metal, too, you know
just took in my electrical wires that I cut off of all my scrap stuff and all the smaller wire I micro scrap from all my appliances and such. That's what's up
those tanks last forever, I did some testing on an old tank at university and there was no degradation of the walls
Hi mike happy new year i like your video awesome
hes the only guy who gets exited wen he fnds a wire or cord
excited
use the air tank the blow up balloons LOL but of course we can use it on the spaceship to increase the cabin pressure and you the oxygen for deep space LOL

The rocket things are actually for the dogs they jump on it & it squirts water up for them.
Those chopped up ladders might be handy for crawling back in and out of the tall dumpsters.😊
Actually I think those "foot pedals" are bottle rocket launchers. You put a 2-liter bottle on them and hook it to the hose. Push the pedal, and when the pressure builds up, you release the petal and the bottle shoots in the air under water and air pressure.

Those plastic things you thought were rocket launchers are dog toys. Attach to hose and dog jumps on it to get water x
You’re the best and thanks for the good videos!!!! I will watch for ever !!! Thanks 😊
