On a beautiful spring day in Brisbane, I decided to take a break from work and head out for a quick fishing session. Moreton Bay was calm like a mill pond, with the perfect conditions-a late morning high tide and a shallow reef spot close to home-ideal for some Snapper fishing from my trusty 12' aluminium rooftop dinghy.
My goal? Just a pan-sized Snapper for dinner, but if a bigger one came along, that would be a bonus! The day didn't disappoint-lots of action, plenty of fish, and a reminder that you don’t need a boat worth hundreds of thousands to have an epic day out on the reef.
