The timing of this is crazy. I was blessed all thanks to God to start this no birth control journey literally this month. I had been on it for 9 years for severe cramping, acne, and nausea/vomiting associated with my periods. It was affecting my quality of life, GYN made it seem like BC was the only option. Last few months I’ve noticed extreme fatigue (like I can sleep all day) and moodiness. Unrelenting, which was new for me. I went and got labs. Normal. Then I’m like it’s just me. No. I’m grateful my aunt brought the pill to my attention. Stopped it and within days started to feel more like myself with normal energy levels. Just my personal experience but yeah 🚮🗑️. It helped me during that period but never again. Thanks for sharing girl 💕 a lot of us went through the same!

So happy for you! I've been on BC for about 4-5 years, I did notice in the beginning some weight gain and terrible mood swings (so bad I thought I was going crazy), I've been thinking about getting off at some point, however would need to consult with my doctor so my body does not go through a shock phase and everything starts going crazy! Please provide a 6 month update so we can see any additional appearance changes you may have had or any changes tbh! Thanks for making this video :).

I've been doing depo provera the shot since I was 17 and I'm 24 now so a good 7 years I absolutely love it I don't get a menstrual which is awesome. I support your decision Nicole everybody's body, and hormones are different.
I personally never had any issues with birth control and I don't see myself getting off of it anytime soon.

Thank you for posting this, I watch your videos all the time and when I seen this I was so excited to watch. It's so weird that you and I started our natural birth control journey around the same time (I started around the end of last year because I noticed I was getting severe migraines daily and once I got off it all went away). I h-a-t-e birth control and I'm never going back! I track my cycle with a planner by writing in when my period starts (14 days after first day of menstruation is supposed to be ovulation so I don't have sex). I really don't know what Im doing but like you I'm taking a leap of faith and it's been working. Looking forward to incorporating some of the things you mentioned here like a basil thermometer. I love this topic and I hope it works well for everyone trying. Best of wishes!

Went off birth control after about 13 years and i feel so much more clear headed and mentally healthier. I get bad hormonal breakouts on my chin that are very painful but its a small price to pay to have my mental health back

BC always felt like a good idea when I was younger (and I’m sure many may find it really helpful), I was always too scared of starting. My doctor made one last ditch effort to put me on progesterone before starting BC and that supplement has helped regulate my cycle so much ❤ for anyone considering this as an option, it’s recently become OTC but pls check w your doc to see if this is an option for you

Getting off the depo shot after 11 years wasn’t super hard for me to do. Because the suicidal thought to run my vehicle into the side wall while driving down the interstate one day scared the crap of me and the only reason I didn’t do it was because I could’ve hurt or killed someone else and knowing I didn’t want to leave my nieces and nephews behind. But these cramps be kicking my butt sometimes. The menstrual psychosis is absolutely no joke but by God’s grace and mercy I be getting through it.

You might want to do a BC detox. Your body after using BC can still hold on to the synthetic hormones and they can stay in your system for a while.

They most likely upped or lowered hormones in your last few packs of BC.. that happened to my sister. For me i stopped taking it yrs ago. I was on the pill for 4 to 5 yrs. I used to get the worst nausea when i was on the pill, which was never a problem when I wasnt on the pill... the only thing I take is DIM which is a natural Hormonal balancer. I also have the my calender app to track my cycles. & i yoni steam, changed my diet. My periods have been so much better & no oopsies either... needless to say theres so many options without BC. Happy for you!

I have been on BC (very low dosage) for the last 2 years because of fibroids. The bleeding was ridiculous for years. Although I didn’t want to be on it it’s the only thing that is helping after doing almost everything under the sun.
Looking into a procedure at this point because the BC was and is my temp fix until I decided if I wanted to have the procedure and by who.
I will also be working with a functional doctor soon. They do way more panel checks than a regular doctor to really look at your hormones etc. I’m looking forward to not being on anything.
